It always feels like a special event to do lunch at the White House Cafe! The food is presented beautifully and has always been delicious. The perfect place for a gift certificate for a special someone.

Had a nice lunch here in this neat old house with shabby chic-like decor, home made food like visiting your quirky aunt in the country if you have one of those. I had the chicken salad with soup combo and my friend had sandwiches they...said were delicious :)More

We ate lunch here while on a trip through Yakima.... I had the quiche special and my husband had soup/sandwich - both of which were delicious! However, our server was not very attentive and the lunch was almost $50, which seems a bit steep for...what we ate.More

Great rustic ambiance, excellent food and service. Just a trifle noisy! Parking right in front, outdoor service in summer.

Staff was friendly. The facility is nice with the antiques. I'm ovo vegetarian and they had a veggie sandwich I had cheeseless that was very good. It just needed a pickle, of which they don't have. I did find it pricy for a simple sandwich...and the drip coffee was overpriced. But the food was all good.More

When we entered we immediately smiled, the quaint cottage is all painted white, as the name says, and is clearly a women's haven. Our friend was the only man in the building. The food was delicious and for the first time in days I felt...healthy while eating really tasty food. We had a soup that was really creamy and a sandwich filled with healthy veggies and meat. The chocolate cake was divine. The choice is limited but that tends to guarantee freshly made food. BIG-TIME recommendation to stop off in Yakama. 5-Yums-up!!More

Saw several reviews about the White House Cafe and decided to try it out. There are not that many good places in Yakima to eat. The building is very cute and the front room with white tables is very inviting. Unfortunately, we were taken to...a dingy enclosed back porch. Other than getting a quick cup of coffee, the rest of the service was abysmally slow. First thing I noticed when we were seated was that their croissants were bought from Costco as were their ‘tasty’ muffins. I’m not knocking Costco but I would expect home made items from a cafe that prides itself on its breakfast. My scrambled eggs and hash browns were actually pretty good but my wife’s oatmeal was awful. It was lumpy and dried out. Definitely not going back.More

I was there for a baby shower and we were given the front room to use. I had a sandwich and soup and they were fresh and delicious. The staff were wonderful and I love the decor.

This place is like having brunch at Grandma’s if she was a gourmet cook! The quaint cottage is reinvented as a charming restaurant. On a sunny day ask to sit in the back garden under the shady vine-draped arbor. Birds chirp & playful kitties roam...the yard. The food is a delicious as the setting is darling. Good thing too, for the plate comes overflowing with tasty goods! The cinnamon buns are HUGE, warm & sticky. The potato’s tender & crispy. Although the menu is smallish, every item I ate or saw served was swoon-worthy. BIG-TIME recommendation to stop off in Yakama. 5-Yums-up!!More

We came here mid-week in September for breakfast. They weren't very busy at the time and we sat outdoors all by ourselves. There are lots of interesting things to look at while you wait, though we didn't wait long. Breakfast arrived quickly. We both had...the White House Scramble which included ham, fruit and 'perfect toast' (good). The food was good but it was only scrambled eggs so I can't get ecstatic even if it was done well. This is definitely worth a visit at least once.More

We stopped here with a group from our senior citizen center. Our trip planner made a reservation and the staff was prepared for our visit. The food was very good and the service was excellent. As a special bonus for our group, the manager served...each of us a delicious piece of chocolate cake. We all had a variety of selections from the lunch menu and everyone said their food was excellent.More

Make sure you go here if you are in the area. Fantastic food and service. Egg dishes all include generous portions of fruit and fresh bread or pastries. Best breakfast during our trip.
