Our breakfast was okay. My poached hard eggs came out as perfect medium-poached eggs, and the hash browns were a bit undercooked for me, but the chicken-fried steak was really good. The service was prompt and friendly, though, and the servers are really attentive to cleanliness and safety.

Had their thanksgiving special last wednesday. Way too salty. Thought it was just the gravy but tried the stuffing which didn't have gravy. Much too salty as well. The floor manager and kitchen manager need to taste test the food because the cooks just aren't getting it!!!! Had their big kahuna burger today. This is my favorite burger of all time. However, this one really missed the mark. The size was great, but the chicken breast was over cooked and dry. I can deal with that if there is sauce. The teriyaki sauce was not sweet enough and had an after taste that seemed slightly rancid. Could only eat a bites and took the rest home to my dog who refused to eat it. Very unfortunate, first teriyaki burger in 40 years I could not finish.

Food was average to above. Portions were average and service was OK. Visited after dinner rush and place was very messy, food on floor numerous tables not cleaned and it looked like the place is under staffed.
We had halibut and chips which were tasty, warm but not hot. Felt it was priced high for just an average dinner

My husband and me were traveling from home in Boise Idaho to visit relatives on Whidbey Island in Washington State. We were near Yakima when it came time for lunch. I searched the internet for food in the area and based on reviews found online chose the Powerhouse Grill. Being small town people, we weren't expecting anything fancy. We were seated in a booth, yet no one brought us any water. The menus we were handed were made of paper and were wrinkled and stained. There are a lot of items on the menu however they run the gamut between breakfast and dinner with a few substantial holes in the offerings. For instance you can get chicken strips as an appetizer for $11, or you can substitute chicken strips in a fish and chip dinner for additional cost, but there was no offering of a lunch of chicken strips and fries. When our server took our order, I asked for water with lemon and my husband asked for water and she seems surprised that the person who seated us had not brought us any water. She brought water, but mine was without lemon. My husband ordered a tuna melt asking that it be done on white bread versus rye and asked for a side of ranch to go with his fries. When the food arrived the sandwich was nicely toasted on one side but not as well on the other. His fries were overcooked and had no salt and the ranch dressing was very thin. He felt that the sandwich was dry.
I ordered the Irish omelette with a side of whole wheat toast. The portions were generous and I found the food to be tasty though the omelette was overcooked. It was also confusing that my breakfast which had greater portions than my husband's sandwich and fries cost less than that grilled tuna melt.
I'm not saying this restaurant is terrible by any means, they seem to be a HomeTown and favorite that's great. As I said I really did enjoy meal. However first impressions are a pretty big thing and to be seated and not given any water to drink, given well worn, wrinkled and stained paper menus and even after it being found that we've not gotten our water still having it rather glossed over (as well as my lemon forgotten) kind of put a little bit of dust on our impression. Also our server came in the middle of our meal and told us she was leaving for the day - perhaps she was just so excited about going home but her mind wasn't completely on serving customers.

Do not get the beef stroganoff. All it was is fettuccine noodles with mushroom gravy with a dabbe of sour cream on top. Looked very unpleasing. We went a hour before closing and all they were worried about was getting people out the door. There was another group of customers and they had 3 servers and none of them got their order right. When our server took our order she asked me if I wanted a baked potato fully loaded. I said yes. My wife asked for hers to be with sour cream and chives only. We got one fully loaded which was my wife's. I asked about mine. She said mine meal doesn't come with it. WHY in the hell would ask me how I wanted mine write it down. Servers need to know the menu. Again all they were worried about was getting thd place closed and giing home. Never will go back there EVER!

My husband and I wanted to try something different in the valley for breakfast and may I say now…we should have stuck to our regular. I have never returned a dish after the first two bites. I ordered the breakfast nachos and the red potatoes in this dish tasted like they had been cooked in a dirty grill. I tried not to make a big deal and though it may have only been this particular dish. When I noticed my husband making same faces after biting into his loaded potatoes from his New York steak dish. The steak was ordered well done but got charbroiled was hard to slice the knife through it. Not sure if it was just a coincidence that it happened to us. We will never be going there again and wanted to advise any who is planning on having breakfast there do not go or try different dishes.

Ordered the biscuits and gravy meal. Eggs overcooked with jalapeno piece mixed in from a uncleaned grill. Biscuits were undercooked doughy. Sausage gravy had microscoping piece of barely any sausage, other meal order had practical raw eggs on top and lacked in flavor and substance.pie case has dead flies in it. Gross place ment for people with no taste or just too old to know better.over priced for what little garbage we recieved.

The halibut was tough and not edible for $27.00. Very expensive for four ounces of halibut. Salad was a side of lettuce. No tomatoes, cucumbers had been frozen and many shredded carrots. They put a piece of frozen halibut in the oven and have you wait half an hour while it cooks. They then put this funky blue cheese on top

Very disappointed in our walk in to go order. The cashier did not remember all the items ordered and we had to wait to complete the order. Was charged for three plastic bags and received two, principal. The citrus halibut was horrible and overpriced at $27.00. It was full of cheese and at first we were unsure it was even fish. It had pineapple slivers on it. That must be what they call citrus. The meal presentation also terrible. Looks like the expensive meal was tossed into the Togo box all slid to one corner. Half the order was left on a counter and not announced it was ready. Won’t be returning.

In town for a couple of days, stayed around the corner at the Comfort Inn, and found the Powerhouse Grill by accident-- so glad we did! We did a late evening supper the first night, dinner the next and breakfast the third before leaving town. The food, without exception, was fantastic (you MUST have the parmesean-crusted halibut), and every single staff member we encountered was amazing. These folks know the meaning of Customer Service"!

If I could give 6 stars I would!! From the minute we walked in we were greeted and received wonderful service!
Food came out quickly and it was delicious!! Husband had corned beef and eggs and he said it was wonderful! I had bacon, tomato, and eggs over biscuits with hollandaise sauce and I’m so sad I couldn’t eat it all!! It was delicious and portions were huge!! If ever in the area try this gem!!
Plus they have awesome fresher baked goods and we got a homemade lava cake!! Yum

Food was so good that I ate here 3 times in one week. Salmon on a plank was delicious. Large portion of fried cod. Side salad was fresh and colorful. Potato soup was comforting. I had leftovers of Pot roast dinner with mashed potatoes because there was so much. The beef was tender and shredded and in tasty gravy. I wish there were more carrots in it. Nice selection of side dishes and vegetables. I did not have dessert but they looked delicious in the case.

Another stop in our never ending quest for the area's best eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy. The former is right up there and could be THE best on any given morning. If you know the dish, you know what we mean. If you don't, Google it.
However, in every respect the latter was a waste of good flour. Wallpaper paste masquerading as sausage gravy and a hockey puck dressed up as a biscuit. Plus the place somehow has discovered how to make the typical Farmer Brother's restaurant coffee even worse than usual. In fairness though, the portions are immense and the service friendly and efficient.

The service and food four our day before group of 20 after wedding family breakfast was great. The staff were So accommodating! We said between 10-20 ended up with 21 and they made it work. Food came quickly and was delicious. To our delight one of the staff there was especially enjoyable- stopping by our table a couple times with a joke.

I had the Bacon, tomato and avocado benedict on a croissant while my husband had the fajita omelet. The portions were large and delicious. The restaurant is spacious and the servers very nice and efficient.
