I was encouraged whilst queuing at immigration by the locals lauding Herbfarm, which we were booked into that evening. We were tight on time and tired because of a 7hr flight delay! Anyway after dumping bags in hotel downtown, we hot the 45 min cab ride arriving about 20mins later than our booked time of 7pm. Hadnt realised it was... More

Had a fun, delicious, and splendid dining experience at the Herb Farm. It was pouring down rain the night of our dinner, so we didn't get to tour the herb garden, but we still were able to learn and taste herbs and flowers prior to being seated. We also enjoyed the explanations of the wine pairing by the Somm and... More

The Herbfarm is one of a kind. A vast herb garden provides inspiration for its set nine course meal. The master chef and sommelier develop an exquisite tasting experience which delights all senses. Every three weeks a new menu is developed and presented using fresh, local, ingredients. But first, enjoy a tasting tour through the herb garden, where the owner... More

Money can not be an object when making a reservation at the Herbfarm. Come here for a complete dining experience which treats all the senses and lasts for 4 or 5 hours. Menus are according to themes so be prepared for treats, surprises and unusual flavors. But it all works and the meal is memorable. There is a tour of... More

We went to the Herbfarm restaurant while visiting Seattle, wanting to experience some find dining. It was amazing. We started with a tour through the herbfarm, getting to know (and taste) the different herbs and flowers. Then we did a 9 course dinner with wine pairing, based on the herbs in the garden. Our menu was the "Knife. Fork. Smoke."... More

The Herbfarm seems to have two records, one for the attraction and one for the restaurant but in my mind they are the same thing. This is what I wrote: There is so much about dining at this restaurant that is not about the food - learning about the herbs grown on the property, the beautiful decor that feels cosy... More

Having many similar experiences around the world (Michelin star restaurants and similar), we had really high expectation for this $300 dinner. Start was really promising: nice location, nice building, visiting wine cellar, friendly staff etc. 1st 3 cources were actually on the level expect: Really nice salmon, halibut and chicken, but then they introduce the food, which was not possible... Hello IIkka, Thank you for your honest feedback provided here and at dinner. I am sorry you didn't allow us to prepare something that may have been more to your liking. I am glad, at least, that some of your companions did enjoy the entire experience. I truly hope we will have another opportunity to provide a meal to impress.... More

I had only heard great things about the Herbfarm and am pleased to report that my experience lived up to my high expectations. The Herbfarm is a 5 diamond restaurant specializing in local, seasonal foods. The service was impeccable - the staff went well out of their way to anticipate any possible needs we would have throughout our evening and... More

The Herb Farm has been on my restaurant bucket list for years. Finally my travel schedule allowed me to arrange dinner on February 20, 2016. It is a dining experience. Almost flawless. Founders Carrie van Dyck and Ron Zimmerman are ever present attending to every detail. The restaurant boasts A wine cellar of 28,000 bottles. Before dinner everyone is invited... More

am sure others have had a good experience here, ours has been horrible. We made a reservation the first part of November in person for our wedding anniversary February 14, 265.00 a piece dinner. Description
The Herbfarm is America's only 5-Diamond Restaurant north of Napa Valley and east of Chicago. With working farm and restaurant 20 minutes from Seattle, the restaurant offers 26 different 9 course dinner menus each year.Creed: The Herbfarm believes that no dish can be better than its ingredients, and that the best ingredients are usually local. Freshness is ephemeral, and geography expresses itself in the taste of the food--sometimes subtly and sometimes profoundly. The foods and wines of our region share a similar motherhood of soil and weather, making for a happier culinary marriage than those from dissimilar climates. The Herbfarm believes that chefs who cook with local ingredients--season by season, year after year--develop a more complete understanding of the foods than chefs who do not. This understanding can give rise to greater expressions of the food, its preparation, and enjoyment. The Herbfarm believes that supporting local farmers, foragers, cheesemakers, wineries, ranches, and fishermen helps preserve local foods.
