The outdoor seating, which looked spectacular, was booked with a 30-45 minute so we sat inside with the music and boisterous conversations. I had the Nachos which were excellent and my buddy had a salad with cranberries and a vinaigrette dressing. The real highlight for us was our waitress Nicole who was endlessly entertaining and brought an endearing personal touch... More

We've been here a few times now and the beer never disappoints. If you can grab a table on the lower deck with a view of the river, do. We stop in here every time we are in Winthrop.

If you like hoppy brew, this is the place. For those that don't like beer, there is also wine. Great selection of burgers and sandwiches. Literally a little old school house but has a wonderful outdoor seating area along the river.

We visited two times with the first trying only the beer. The new owners were great to talk to and we loved the blond and ESB beers!! The next night we went back for dinner but the service was not very good at all. The young waiter was very unorganized and slow and they were out of many of the... More

Although it was a warm afternoon, we were in luck when we decided to have our early dinner here . The front entrance is not expansive, but there is a great deck out back overlooking the river. Nice setting. We had absolutely great local brews and hamburgers, my wife and I each say was the best we had on our... More

We were served promptly and although they were not busy still managed to mess up the burger order but the beer was great and the food good so no worries; we sat on the back deck with great weather and had a great time.

Thoroughly enjoyed a Saturday evening at the Old Schoolhouse Brewery. Great brew (I personally enjoyed the blonde, brown and stout...all delicious!), great food (the Nachos are divine!), and great music (local band Bosco). The outside seating area is full of Winthrop ambiance & the service was great! I only wish they had more than one restroom for women. Long line... More

I only stopped in for a Beer and didn't get any food, unfortunately they do not allow dogs and we had our pooch with us so dining was out. But the beer was very good, I am a fan of Dark beer and they had three stouts to choose from, unfortunately I could only have one, I chose the Hooligan... More

Quality pub grub outside on the river. Juicy delicious chicken burger. Hot crisp fries. Husband loved his icy beer. Favorite place by a country mile.

Had a 20 min wait which wasn't so bad but they were not seating on the deck which is one of the main draws for us. It had been raining so I understand that. It was very "pub" noisy inside so unless you yelled you couldn't talk much. The g-kids ordered apple juice to drink and it came in a... More

At Old Schoolhouse Brewery, we strive to create microbrews that satisfy the discerning hop head as well as those who prefer a lighter taste. Unique to Winthrop, our brewery uses chlorine-free water that flows from the pristine North Cascade mountains. This clean, uncontaminated water helps enhance the natural flavors of the malts and hops bringing you a superior beer drinking experience. A full list of where we sell our ales outside of the Methow Valley can be found on our website.
