This large restaurant is a place you may have to go if the place you want to visit is full. There are seats a plenty in Carlos, and the waitstaff literally runs around to do their best for their crowd. Too bad the cooking is so average and uninspired. The margaritas are made with sugary mixes, so try something else.

We had a big group of almost 30 people and the staff here were so kind about accomomdating all of us! The drinks were great and the food was good as well. There was a big leak in the ceiling in the back room so the lights weren't on for a short while but the views from the back room... More

We never considered Mexican for dinner in Winthrop, but our friends (California raised) liked it so much they were willing to go back. They have a full menu, with a Yucatán twist, which is not something you find everywhere. Considering we went at a very busy time, and there were only 2 wait staff who were literally running, the service... More

The place was empty for weekday lunch but the very friendly staff were great and the fish tacos absolutely delicious. Three stuffed tacos came on a huge plate with rice and beans. A worthwhile stop.

After reading the reviews and looking at the menu for Carlos 1800 Mexican Grill we were looking forward to a delicious meal. However, our overall experience was so-so. My husband and I ordered the veggie fajitas. We realized this was a crap shoot, as many restaurants have strange ideas about what kind of veggies people want in their Mexican food--... More

We enjoyed our dinner at Carlos'. The Margaritas 1800 were fantastic. We had enchiladas which were served with the traditional rice and beans, but also a corn cake which was nice and sweet. We recommend a visit to Carlos for a good meal with good service!

Good healthy food with options for homemade items and Specialties. A family-run restaurant with great service and friendly owners. All at a great value.

This place is great - the food is delicious and they have a larger than expected list of margarita options. Be aware the portions are generous, so come hungry or consider sharing with a friend. The servers are very friendly and attentive.

We were just in town for a couple of days and needed dinner and since it was around Thanksgiving and this is such a small town our options were limited. We decided on this place and after we were served our chips and salsa and meals we were very pleased we did. This restaurant had great customer service and the... More

After 3+ hours on the road, we were starving but also in a bit of a hurry. We picked this place for dinner because it wasn't quite as crowded as the beer place next door. What a nice surprise this was! Our server couldn't have been nicer (or more attentive), and the Tacos al Pastor were among the best we've... More
