Halibut sandwich was hot and delicious. Cooked JUST to perfection and not a second longer. I didn’t really expect such a cute little place that is actually floating on the river to actually have perfect food. But they do. And the margarita? Flavorful and, uh,...let’s just say you can taste the tequila. Best I’ve had north of Tiajuana. Fine service, too!More
Fish tacos, halibut battered fish tacos. Nicely battered with a side of battered okra chunks. Very good. Some good beer choices, too.
Very busy staff. Had to wait a while to be seated in mid-afternoon though worth it. Boaters and jetskiers pull right up to...the side and hop out to eat.More
Heard about this place from a friend. Good food and drinks. The best thing about this place is the location. It sits right on the dock. The decor is simple and funky (skeletons), pretty sure I saw a relative on the wall. Good place to...meet friends.More
The food was excellent, service was fast and friendly, but they were not overly busy at the time we were there. Good sized portions, most of us could not finish our plates. Young children can pick a prize out of the pirates treasure trunk after...the meal. The 2 reasons I gave it a 4 was it was kind of spendy- for 7 of us the bill was almost $150.00, and that was w/o alcohol. Secondly, it was a bit tricky to find as you have to go through some other businesses parking lots to get to it, and the walk down to the restaurant had ramps, but they were steep and a bit slippery from the rain.More
Our GPS had a lot of trouble with the roundabouts in Camas, we had to ask for help.
We were told that the halibut fish and chips were great, but I thought they were pretty greasy, and I am not a fan of waffle fries....The site on the river is quaint, and I am sure they have other good entrees, but I think the fish and chips at The Island Cafe across the river are a lot better. Just my opinion!More
Cute cafe on the water with great service and good food. I had the appetizer coconut shrimp which I shared because there were 7 shrimp which is more than you usually get at other happy hour spots. My husband had the pork nacho and it...was huge - he took over half home. The waitress was pleasant and we enjoyed being on the water!More
I brought my active aging group of walkers to eat at the Puffin on a Friday. We arrived early about 11:15 just after opening. I had called ahead and said my group could be about 20 earlier in the week. The hostess recommended we bring...cash to better accommodate the group, we made an effort to do that. When we showed up the group had actually grown to 27. The manager greeted us with so much disrespect and basically told the group that she has so much business on a Friday she really didn’t need our business. We had messed everything up by bringing more people to the establishment. One older gentleman needed to sit inside due to health problems, he was made to feel completely unwelcome. I actually asked her to stop telling everyone in the group what an imposition we were that day, she was making people feel uncomfortable. I’m writing this review because every member of my group felt not welcomed and uncomfortable at the Puffin. 27 people will tell their friends about this horrible customer service. She told me at the end of our day we could come back in the winter and have the whole place. We won’t be returning. They added a 20% tip for the group which I don’t mind. However, one gentleman said that was an insult to how he was treated.More
