This old house in Trout Lake is now a cozy, eclectic restaurant with amazing food. Outside seating was delightful during the summer evening I was there. I had the lamb meatballs with yogurt sauce, beans, and tanduri naan. The food was out of this world. The only down fall was that they were very busy and the service was slow.... More

Don't plan on hurrying when you eat here. The food is well worth the wait and there are plenty of table games and other distractions to take any edge off the wait. Each dish is prepared especially for you and it's possible that they will run out of their daily specials (or desserts) because they are so good. Not the... More

7 of us descended upon the inn around 1:00pm. Mary was super nice, let us pic a picnic table out front, brought us a tablecloth, and kindly and happily served us. They had some really good locally sourced, organic food items that were wonderfully prepared. Granted we were hungry :), but we got very quite and just kept making yummy... More

This is a relaxed historic, old-time inn full of friendly locals. The home-style food is mainly burgers, sandwiches and salads with a flair, augmented with a specials board. The kitchen uses locally sourced ingredients when possible. Good bar and a kids menu round things out.

this place is in a funky old wood structure, kinda rustic, very frontier feeling, close to Trout Lake. There's a small restaurant/cafe in the front, and a dance hall in the back. Trout Lake is off the beaten path, but this place serves good sandwiches and has good beer. We had a philly cheesesteak, a BLT with Avo, and a... More

My husband and I visit TroutLake Trout Lake every couple of years and always make a point to eat at The Country Inn. There are new owners and they were so rude to us. The woman at the bar did not want to be bothered. The food was very good but it took for ever and we are patient people!!... More

Had dinner on the porch as there appeared to be a meeting inside. Was a perfect place to be and had great service. Enjoyed reading about the history of the 111 year old building while we waited for our food. The fire roasted veggie sandwich was outstanding and, although I wasn't sure about it, the chickpea salad left me wanting... More

We had read reviews that mentioned a good breakfast so we drove several miles to get there. Shoot, opens At 11:30. A bit late for breakfast It is on a back street in this very small town. Rural, cute inside and out from our view through the window
