This restaurant never disappoints. The pho's are flavorful and they dont scrimp on ingredients. My all time favorite is the porkchop #26! Yum! Grilled pork chops on a bed of rice, pickled veggies on the side with skewered grilled shrimp on top. Winner!

I have been eating at Vien Dong for close to 18 years at least 2-3 times a month. I have also visited many other Vietnamese restaurants in the Tacoma and Vien Dong is by far the best. They have the best Pho and they have an extensive menu. They will even customize your meal. The serving sizes are enough to... More

My husband and and I enjoy Vien Dong very much. The food is AUTHENTIC Vietnamese and is all fresh and delicious. The service at Vien Dong is very good. Even if we don't come in for a while, they always remember us. They even remember my onion allergy and make sure to prepare things special for me without them. There... More

Vien Dong has the best Vietnamese food in the area. Their fresh salad rolls with peanut dipping sauce are absolutely the best. Great Pho, Chinese dishes, Vietnamese salads. . .everything is tasty and very reasonably priced. This is a place where you can get filled up when your wallet is not so full of cash. Best to go slightly off... More

I haven't dined at Vein Dong in Years! I don't think I'll ever return unless it's under new management. They get good business there though.. :)

This is about as close one can get to authentic Vietnamese food ... yes they do Americanized some of their dishes, but if you ask, they will prepare the dish authentically. Well, except if you want Pork Blood cubes for your Bun Bo Hue. Basically, they have Vietnamese classics, and of course very good Pho. The service is friendly, the... More

I've tried to really want to love this restaurant over the years, but every time I'm finished with pho, minutes later my sinuses act up, head tingles down through my shoulders & spine. The flavor of the pho is wonderful. My question is do they use lots of MSG? Sorry if this offends anyone.

This place is our favorite, a true hidden gem. Very friendly service, and delicious savory food. Need a quick cheap lunch for 2? Split a bahn mi, and get a wonton soup each. Total: $10!

My daughter and I have been eating here for 20 years. The food has always been good and is authentic Vietnamese. Ask questions If you're not familiar with a dish.

Vien Dong is a restaurant that has been in the Tacoma area for a rather long time, and continues to deliver incredible food from a very varied menu. I think - though I couldn't swear to it - that it is family owned, but at the very least, it's got all the wonderful qualities that a non-chain restaurant is expected... More
