As a "displaced Montanan" in Washington State for the past 20+ years,I have become the go-to tour guide for several out of state guests. There's the normal menu of Western Washington things to do, but if I'm looking for a nice place for dinner and impress my guests, Marzano's is it! Best Italian food ever. My wife, who suffers from... I have been visiting Marzano's for years at lunch with an old high school friend. We stopped going almost a year ago because we felt we weren't getting our needs met by the server. Today we gave it another shot. The server was very attentive and we had a great experience. They changed their menu since the last time I... More

I was at an sporting event at PLU and was starving without much time. I placed a pickup order of Pork Belly, Prawn Ceasar Salad, and a gluten free Pomodora pizza for my daughters. ALL the dishes were amazing, delicious, and well prepared. It's a nicer establishment and we were in very casual clothing and were still treated kindly and... More

Intimate, in an old private house. Felt secluded despite proximity to hwy 7. Situated next to PLU university campus. Familiar feeling. Friendly and knowledgable wait staff. Jazz music. Outside seating. Tasty and fresh food. Alluva salad perfect, as was the Piccata chicken and the cheese pizza. Large portions, a bit too much food.

If you want absolutely wonderful Italian food, this is definitely the place. It's not really in Tacoma, but it is not far. Certainly worth the drive if you are in the area. Wonderful service.

Marzano's is one of my most favorite places to eat. I have had only great meals and great service. I take my out of town visitors there because I can count on a great experience. I even saw the famous singer Tony Bennett eating there once a couple years ago. That was a fun experience as celebrity sightings are not... More

It's a lovely little residential structure that has been beautifully converted into a restaurant, with several small rooms and an outdoor seating area. The menu is significant, and the preparations we enjoyed—from appetizers to primi to secondi to dolce—were reminiscent of our travels in Tuscany and Umbria. The wine list was also substantial. Service was merely fair, but they were... More

We found this restaurant by accident and ate there 3 times in 10 days--once with take out because we knew the small restaurant would be overflowing on a Saturday night. All three meals were exquisite. The seafood stew and the venison stew were our favorites, but we don't think you can go wrong. Save room for dessert because the tiramisu... More
