My husband and I made reservations for this restaurant for a Saturday evening. We were very excited to try this place. As we were getting ready to leave we checked our email only to find out that the reservation had been made for Friday and...not Saturday. Therefore we were charged $100 on our debit card for missing our reservation. We were adamant that the reservation was made for Saturday and not Friday. We went to the restaurant to lodge a complaint and speak to the manager. The manager was not available and when we explained the situation to the hostess she said that this is an easy fix and is something that happens when reserving through OpenTable. We left our name and number and was told the manager would call us back to "make it right". Well, we did not receive a call. We called the restaurant again to follow up and again was told we would receive a call to make it right. The restaurant did not call us. They took $100 of our money with no service, food, sip of water, nothing and refused to give us the consideration of a call back. SHAME ON YOU Over the Moon.More

Hi there! A refund has been made to the credit card you used to secure your reservation. Please accept my sincere apology for my tardy response to your complaint. As a sole owner/operator sometimes things fall through the cracks on my part. As an aside,...More

Anniversary dinner for brother's 50th. Just down the street from their condo. So close to a great dining experience. Started with their Crab Bisque. The bowl serving was extremely generous, and so delicious. Others had the Brussels Sprouts and Caesar salad. Everyone was happy with...their choices. The bottle of Argyle Pinot Noir put us all in a very good mood. Three medium rare wild King salmon dinners arrived shortly after appetizers, along with my rare duck breast. The duck was the perfect combination of crispy skin and moist, tender meat. The cherry sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Outstanding! Didn't see a spec of salmon left on the others' plates. Dessert was a slice of Coconut and Berry Pie and a cup of cheesecake in a glass, a wonderful gluten free dessert. More than the 4 of us could finish. Super attentive server Tina R. took excellent care of us. Evening could not have been better. This is simply a top notch place to dine, enjoy conversation, and have the best of service.More

Always excellent service, every appetizer, entree and dessert we have ever ordered had been amazing. Ambiance is small, quant and romantic. The only flaw is that it is a little on the dark side for my liking.

The menu is limited, the food is ok and depending on how busy they are, the service is average......

Whenever I get a chance, I love to go to breakfast at the Moon Rise Cafe. I always get the Monte Carlo! Best one I've found! The other food is good according to the people I'm with...but I always get the same thing and I'm...NEVER disappointed! It's always busy. You have to wait for a seat on weekends. Friendly wait staff. Warm environment with the sweetest handwritten love notes in a box at each table. Delicious meal plus to die for turtle pie dessert that we shared. This is my favorite hidden date nite in Tacoma.

The food was very tasty and well prepaired. Wait staff was very attentive and cordial. The only thing would be a drawback is its location is kinda out of the way in the ally.

Intimate atmosphere, attentive waiters, and wonderful food. Perfect for a special night out! We are vegetarian and had several options for appetizers and salads. One option for a main course, but it was excellent.

A great place to gather with friends for an amazing meal. There were 5 of us and each ordered a different entree. The comments were similar.... perfectly prepared from soup (crab bisque...plenty of crab) salad (pears were perfectly ripe) salmon( not over cooked) butternut squash...lasagne(simply amazing). The cozy atmosphere and great service added to a wonderful experience. We’ll be back...soon !More

There is generally ample street parking all within a few blocks of Over the Moon. If you get lucky, you'll end up less than a block away. Street parking is metered, but the charges are next to nothing compared to most... More
