I finally came here with the wife after avoiding it for the past few years. I will now continue to avoid it. Reservations are a must. The seating area is small and loud. The menu has less selections than most and the prices are higher than expected. Our service was fair. Our food was just OK. The flavors of the... More

Top notch restaurant, fine dining in a casual setting. Staff were pleasant and friendly, food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the top sirloin steak (fantastic), my girlfriend had the pork chop (fantastic). We asked who cooked our food and were told "Jake". Hats off to Jake. Dessert was cherry cobbler with pistachio ice cream (dreamy). HIGHLY recommend.

Booked a reservation through open table for Asado in Tacoma. Valet parking is 5 bucks - with a full donation going towards a charity (*like). Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with a happy birthday to my wife (*like). We were taken directly to our table. Throughout the evening we had over 7 different people check on us, offer... Came back here with a few friends after several months since my last visit. We started with the Bacon Serrano wrapped Prawns and these beauties were worth the 40 minute drive to get here. Plump, luscious prawns with good snap and just enough heat from the Serrano Chile plus the richness of the bacon, a perfect appetizer! I had a... More

The food is delicious, service is on point. Parking can be tough but worth it. Drinks are heavenly. We will definitely return again and again.

Came in for happy hour to get a late lunch. The crabcakes were loaded and absolutely delicious. All of our food was great and the service was good as well. Two of us ate for $22!

Went on my lunch hour with friends. I was surprised at how few guests there were. I had a chicken tomatillo sandwich and it was good, though the sweet potatoes fries were better. One friend had salad with chicken that looked good and the other friend had a quinoa bowl that he liked. The menu had enough to offer but... More

We go here every year for our work Christmas dinner. Always great food in a good environment. You really can't go wrong with any of the steaks on the menu. Wine selection is excellent and staff always caters to your every need.

Decided to try this since our nephew and his wife were in town and it was half way between our homes. Heard it has "the best steak in Tacoma" - hmmmm, well that's not saying much. You definitely need a reservation, and it is not in the best part of town. That being said, we walked in and this place... More

Met our friends her prior to the comedy club. The food was the best. We had the platter that had many different meats, vegetables and deserts. Figured we would try everything so next time we could be sorta selective. Didn't help, it was all fabulous.

Description
Sizzle and smoke define Asado Cucina Argentina, the South Sound's only Argentine-themed steakhouse and a staple restaurant of the trendy Sixth Avenue dining district. Heady smoke wafts from the display kitchen where chefs sear beef over a mesquite grill. Low lighting is moody by night, bright and beautiful by day because of the expansive garage doors that roll up in the summertime, spilling diners onto Sixth Avenue. A mural evokes pastoral Argentina. Metalwork and heavy doses of deep-hued wood create a rustic urban palette. Social by design, with a large chef's table straddling the display kitchen. Bench booth seating connects diners to neighbors, but without being overly intrusive. The word "asado" means a gathering of friends for a grill party - the Argentine equivalent of an American patio barbecue - and that theme translates into a convivial gathering spot for friends and family. A steakhouse with a flavor-forward menu with preparations licked with smoke and sophistication.
