What can I say, I have always had a great time, either with a date or a group of friends. Skirt steak was amazing! They had a Kobe beef special once it was soo amazing! Polenta plate is great, I use that as an appetizer! I'm sad my fave waiter is gone!

This is our third time visiting Asado, we love their food. Especially good are the serrano wrapped prawns as an appetizer, the steelhead trout was delicious as was everything else we had. The waiter we had was also very good and gave us many good suggestions as to what to order from the menu. Love this restaurant and will go... More

Our second visit, first was a year ago. We made different choices this time and were delighted with the food. We both had skirt steak, my wife with Peruvian blue potatoes and I had polenta. Both were excellent, loved the polenta and the skirt steak was better than the filet mignon at a lot of chain restaurants. Very busy waiter,... More

Love the selection of great seafood & strong delicious cocktails. I'm a pescatarian so I can't really comment on the steaks- but the service, atmosphere, and veggie and fish dishes are awesome. I love the Ceviche and the empanadas!

I have to say that this place is the BEST food that I have had while living my life in Tacoma, Washington. Do yourself a favor and stop in for dinner, you will not regret 1 moment of it.

I finally came here with the wife after avoiding it for the past few years. I will now continue to avoid it. Reservations are a must. The seating area is small and loud. The menu has less selections than most and the prices are higher than expected. Our service was fair. Our food was just OK. The flavors of the... More

Top notch restaurant, fine dining in a casual setting. Staff were pleasant and friendly, food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the top sirloin steak (fantastic), my girlfriend had the pork chop (fantastic). We asked who cooked our food and were told "Jake". Hats off to Jake. Dessert was cherry cobbler with pistachio ice cream (dreamy). HIGHLY recommend.

Booked a reservation through open table for Asado in Tacoma. Valet parking is 5 bucks - with a full donation going towards a charity (*like). Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with a happy birthday to my wife (*like). We were taken directly to our table. Throughout the evening we had over 7 different people check on us, offer... Came back here with a few friends after several months since my last visit. We started with the Bacon Serrano wrapped Prawns and these beauties were worth the 40 minute drive to get here. Plump, luscious prawns with good snap and just enough heat from the Serrano Chile plus the richness of the bacon, a perfect appetizer! I had a... More

Description
Sizzle and smoke define Asado Cucina Argentina, the South Sound's only Argentine-themed steakhouse and a staple restaurant of the trendy Sixth Avenue dining district. Heady smoke wafts from the display kitchen where chefs sear beef over a mesquite grill. Low lighting is moody by night, bright and beautiful by day because of the expansive garage doors that roll up in the summertime, spilling diners onto Sixth Avenue. A mural evokes pastoral Argentina. Metalwork and heavy doses of deep-hued wood create a rustic urban palette. Social by design, with a large chef's table straddling the display kitchen. Bench booth seating connects diners to neighbors, but without being overly intrusive. The word "asado" means a gathering of friends for a grill party - the Argentine equivalent of an American patio barbecue - and that theme translates into a convivial gathering spot for friends and family. A steakhouse with a flavor-forward menu with preparations licked with smoke and sophistication.
