I'm so glad we sat next to Mama K on a flight, to find out she was the new owner. And what a difference it's made. A delightful place, which fits anyone's morning mood, anytime! The menu covers anything anyone could want. My only suggestion - improve the juice menu.

Gosh, I really missed out on this opportunity to eat what looked like some really fun things. The pancakes ooze over the edge of the plate. The potatoes are stacked in a heap. Design your own potatoes or pancakes. I had bacon and a poached egg. Had I read the reviews ahead of time, I might have splurged and been... More

It's okay in a good way. Nothing fancy witch is fine, very noisy with people talking and kids yelling or crying which it is what it is. Tables real close together with narrow isles. The food you get plenty for your money and they really pile on the potatoes they act like the potatoes are special but they are just... More

Ate here on a Saturday at about 1:00pm. Called ahead and they were getting people seated quickly, but food was going to take about a half hour. Not a prob for us. I walked right in, ordered at the cash register, grabbed a cup and helped myself to some great coffee. Sat down and the food arrived in about 10... More

The pancakes at Shakbrah are dinner plate size and delicious. I wasn't able to eat the whole pancake. The menu specializes in vegetarian and vegan foods. They also serve bacon with breakfast. If you go on a Saturday, you can't be in a hurry. On the Saturday we went, it was packed. Once we were seated and ordered, the wait... More

Shakabrah is our favorite breakfast place. The staff is always great and friendly. The food is affordable and delicious. Great place if a person is a vegetarian.

This was our first time here and we were not disappointed! I had their special, prime rib benedict and my husband had corned beef hash benedict. Both were fresh and incredible! And those potatoes - lots of flavor and crispy on the edges! Cannot believe we hadn't found this place when we lived in Puyallup. Next time we visit, we... More

As a gluten free vegetarian, eating out can be challenging. Usually breakfasts offer a bit more choice. As such, I tend to quest for the best breakfasts in town when I hit a new burg. When visiting family in Tacoma, I make a point of heading across town to this wonderful place at least once - more if I'm really... More

Had breakfast here on my last day in Washington. I had the magic potatoes with an egg which was more than enough food! It was a good mix of vegetables, I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed a big mimosa. This place was backed for a Monday morning and we waited almost an hour for breakfast but it was good.

The food is great and they have some of the typical options but also a large variety of stuff that is unique that you won't find on every other diner menu. I haven't eaten a pancake personally, but they are huge, like 14 inches in diameter, and seem to be a hit at $4.50. I had the corned beef hash... More
