I will never go back to this restaurant! There was a waiting list, and they allowing people to go ahead of me! And the lady with short red hair kept looking at me! She knew i was ahead of those people they were seating! Then...i told them what they were doing, all i got was a bunch of "Im sorry! I walked out! Then the lady with the short red hair had the nerve to call my phone, with yet another im sorry! And to ask for her when i come back in! I will never be back!More

It says you can dine in. Patio dining is not dining in in the middle of winter. You shouldn't advertise as such if you can't eat indoors where it's warm! I'm not going to pay that much for dinner where I have to sit out...in the cold and eat!More

Manager harassed me about making a reservation for 7.Could only seat for 5 and then 2 and could not guarantee tables could be next to each other. Restaurant opened at 300pm on Sunday which is same time as my reservation. Surely this could no be...difficult as the restaurant would not be full at 3:00p. Our food took 1 1/4 hours to get brought our table. Restaurant started filling up and they only had 1 waiter working on the floor. Fish & Chips coating was very hard to cut into, my husband only got 7 bites out of 3 pieces of fish. My filet Mignon was cooked to well well done, My twin sisters Prime rib was tasteless and luke warm. My daughters Caesar salad was limp, warm and the portion size was that of a side salad. The restaurant was too busy to perform as they should have for a $$$$. Relief did not come in until 5:00pm when I saw the waitress walk through the front door. One waiter had 10 tables to handle by himself and the kitchen was not performing up to the standard it should have. If you want great food, much better ambiance, with a direct view of Commencement Bay with equal or a bit lower prices served with more class and style try THE CLIFF HOUSE 253 927 0400, YOU WON'T BE SORRY.More

So I recently made reservations for my wife and I, along with another couple to finally get out and get a chance to breathe a little bit. We decided on one of the best restaurants in all of Washington. I made 7oclock reservations and we...showed up right on time. Upon walking up to the podium to check in i was ignored for several long minutes and then said "I have a Reservation" and was then told to wait. We stood there for almost ten minutes with a half empty place before being escorted to our table...in the back corner away from the window seats I specifically requested. After settling in we were greeted by the best waitress, Jessica. She was prompt and got the ball rolling on drinks and appetizers. I must say the bartender knew what he/she was doin. My Moscow Mule showed up in a proper copper mug. The lemon drops were good as well. Then came the apps: Hot crap dip and calamari. The necks in the calamari melted in ur mouth and the whole squid dipped in the house made tarter and cocktail sauce was amazeballs! Not to mention the house bread...warm, garlic butter and thick sliced was a plate of its own. By the time dinner made it to the table we were pushing full. So we ordered our entrees shortly after getting our appetizers. I ordered the Scallops in white sauce with mashers and asparagus. The wife got Grilled chx Alfredo and the couple with us got the Prime Rib. By the time we started in on our food we realized just how much food we had consumed over the past hour or so. I took a bite or two and was full, as was everyone else. But guess what...by the time we left that building all of us had left clean plates! Thats right, we stuffed ourselves on a much needed awesome meal. We all recommend this place as ive passed it 500 or more times on I5 passing thru. We will definitely be back!! Oh, and S&S, you guys should look into getting a new hostess. This is the only reason u guys are getting 4 stars instead of 5. See ya next time!!More

Hands down the finest location for a restaurant and in all of Tacoma. This attractive restaurants at the top of Cliff above the Tacoma Bay. You can't miss it looking from the freeway although it is rather hard to find from the street without GPS....Steaks primarily, with seafood choices and a price that reflects the Fantastic View. this is your quintessential prom night restaurantMore

Meatloaf was outstanding. Prime rib was perfect. Wait staff was attentive. Clean. Good views. Was charged a weird tax. Pricey overall.

Visited last week for dinner and had the Wellington meatloaf, and the rest of our group had prime rib...very tasty. Can't beat the evening view of Tacoma, either!

For a restaurant that was half full, the service was abysmal. Our waitress ignored us for most of the time we were there, when our burgers finally showed up (after 30mins) they were way overdone and so dry as to be inedible. Since nobody bothered...to come by our table there wasn’t a chance to ask for it to be corrected. We finally managed to ask for the check (which was too much for what we got), gave back our mostly full plates, and the waitress didn’t even ask if we had liked it. This is the worst meal I’ve eaten in Tacoma, I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.More

We ate here yesterday which was Christmas and we both agreed it was the best holiday dinner we have ever had! From the great friendly staff to the great food, I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back.

Went here before the Dave Chapelle Joe Rogan comedy show went for happy hour and we were very satisfied. This restaurant seems to go up and down in quality and service and we hit it on one of its high points. Keep up the good...work and bring back the original Stanley and Seaforts ambience of semi formal and special places to eatMore

Yes, it is delicious! You can try to replicate it on your own, but only the restaurant can give you the real recipe. Good luck!
