Visited for the first time in September 2017 (although the restaurant has been open for a year and a half). We were committed to trying new dishes we typically don't eat or don't see on every other Thai menu in Tacoma. We ordered pineapple fried...rice, Issan sausages, and a pork and shrimp glass noodle dish from the salad area of the menu. For spiciness, we did 3 stars on the rice and 4 on the noodles. The fried rice was bland, but the sausages and noodles are so good they will likely become an addiction. Sausages are made with pork, rice, and curry and burst with complex flavor. The noodle "salad" was served warm and had red onions, grape tomatoes, peanuts, cilantro, and lime juice. One bite, and I was back in Bangkok! I could eat this everyday.
Portions are generous - these three dishes fed two hungry women for lunch with enough left over for another meal for each of us. Prices average $9-10/dish. After we ate, our hostess brought out complementary small dishes of coconut tapioca pudding with jackfruit. It was the perfect ending. She also chatted with us about Thailand and the restaurant. She said they do really good curry, so I must visit again soon.
It is a relaxed atmosphere with strings of pictures of family and friends on the walls. I've found my new favorite Thai place. Just remember they are closed Sunday and Monday.More
