the past. I've been here several times over the years, and though the service was still good, the food was a little on the downside. The pizza ordered was incorrect and had to be redone. Okay I get it. I ordered chicken parmesan, asked the...waitress to have it pounded thin, and it came out the first time burnt. I asked for spaghetti with marinara, and it was a rose sauce. They redid the chicken parm and it was okay. Not a lot of cheese like you expect with true chicken parmesan. The spaghetti the second time, had marinara sauce but I didn't want to stuff myself with more spaghetti. The rest of the food seemed to be adequate for my family, but I'll probably never go back. There are better Italian restaurants in the local area to go to.More

Went to Al .Lago Happy Hour last week and had outstanding food and drinks. Also had the nicest young male waiter, named Ryan. The 5 of us women are ages 80 and over. He treated us with humor and was so respectful. That doesn't always...happen at other restaurants We decided to go back this week and again had good food and drinks. I was the first to arrive and as soon as Ryan saw me, he said "oh good you ladies are here again". How special for me to hear. I told the ladies when they arrived and they were so pleased. We are going back next Friday. Keep Ryan as an employee!!More

After a busy morning seeing patients, my nurse brought me a boxed lunch and said it was donated by a near by restaurant. I pretty much inhaled my food, which was spaghetti with two giant meatballs. It was pure comfort food. It recharged me and...got me going for the rest of the day. This was such a lovely justure. I look forward to visiting this restaurant in the future when the Stay-at-home order for COVID19 ends.More

Got a pizza and Caesar salads to go. The pizza was so soggy in the middle, we only were able to eat one piece each, and not the whole piece. Almost like it was wet, we are only 5 minutes away so it wasn’t like...it sat for any length of time. Sorry but if you can’t make a pizza, come on.i can do better at home. On the bright side, the salad was ok. I can’t even imagine that a chef would be proud of sending that out.very disappointed.we won’t be back.More

Family ate here during lunch on a Saturday, October 2019. In a few words - "the menu is overpriced for the quality served and the food lacks character" [for the menu items listed hereafter]. The pro's - polite waitress & staff, ambiance, & clean restrooms...[reasons for 1 x star]. The con's - there is nothing unique about the style of cooking or its recipe to have you say that "this place is known for x-dish". The burger buns were ordinary. The burger meat tasted like it was frozen beforehand/store bought. The fries were "blah". The sirloin steak was dry & hard despite my request for medium rare and the mashed potato gravy was salty like it was from a powdered mix packet. We dared to be bold and ordered the Captain's Platter, this dish is definitely not for those fearing a cardiac arrest - the batter on the calamari/ fish/ & oysters were "caked-on" which fell off in pieces. This dish was overcooked, salty, and soaked with with what tasted like not fresh cooking oil. Water was served in plastic glasses vice a glass glass. The icing on the cake or salt in the wound - the meals listed took 30 minutes to be served because, at the time, had one available cook. In summary, "the lunch menu is overpriced for the quality served and the food lacks character". If you desire a quality burger, go to a place known for its burger, same for seafood and steak. The truth hurts but the management needs to relook its approach.More

GREAT FOOD!!! Loved the food. Pasta sauce was amazing. A malibu rum, pineapple juice and coconut cream (typically called a Pain Killer) was $12.00 for what looked to be about a 6 to 8 oz. glass. That's pretty expensive at least where I come from.

I wanted to try a new place near my mom's new house in Puyallup and Al Lago seemed wonderful. Let's get this part out of the way - the parking lot and entrance is confusing. But once we got settled, we sat on the patio...overlooking the lake on a beautiful sunny Seattle day and had a wonderful experience. The food was very good and the service outstanding. And the price made it all even better. We will definitely come again.More

Had dinner here with the wife. Owner I think ran out the door (almost pushed my wife down while doing so) to chase down a couple that walked out. Other than that everything else was ok

Made a reservation in advance for 7:15 PM Valentine day. Granted busy day but estimated 40 minute wait time is really unreasonable with a reservation. Won't be patronizing this establishment again .

Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with 42 friends and family. All of our guests raved about the food, especially those with special dietary needs. Even served buffet-style, the entrees and salads were excellent. We had returned only three weeks before from a two-week trip to...Italy, so having Italian fare served so well was a delight. I know many others have criticized the less-than-authentic tastes they encountered, but that's to be expected from American-grown ingredients.More
