Abismal service. Seemed to take offense when asked to tweak a drink and it went down from there to outright poor service. Sadly because this was a great atmosphere.

Had a last minute family gathering here and the food and service was great! 15 people and our server got all the orders correct the first time.
McKenzie River has been a stop for me and my friends when I stopped in town. A good place, usually relatively quiet at lunch time, good food. Fish and chips is my normal order, and the fish here has a spicy breading which is hot...enough for me. The fries are very good and their beer selection is good.More
We recently visited family that just relocated here in this area of Spokane. This great restaurant caught our eye and our appetites and we were greatly pleased with our dining experience. They have a great menu. Don’t think of this as a pizza joint. They...do have salads, sandwiches, terrific and different appetizers and wonderful soups. I had the MacKenzie Alfredo pasta with chicken and my wife had a Cobb salad. Both were delicious. Our server, Amanda, was phenomenal as a waitress and she is a great asset to this eatery. Great ambiance and we will certainly be back soon! Thanks for being open on July 4th! Located next to Albertsons.More
Wow! Thanks for the many kind words Larry-Crystal. We are so happy we were here to feed you and the fam for Fourth of July. We definitely appreciate Amanda here at the store and are so glad you did as well. We hope to see...More
Pizza, hamburgers, flatbreads, fabulous salads...a varied and tasty menu. However, the Gem is their bartender, Justin. He makes the best Margarita! We'll go there just for the Margarita. AND they have many TV screens so you can catch up on sports. Warm and friendly service rounds...out what makes this a great place. Yes, we have a gem in our neighborhood.More
Thanks so much Lynda! Justin has been a part of our crew since the beginning and we love having him with us. Although, I do think I make a better margarita ... :) Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon! Cheers, Kaci...More
The pizza was eh-eh. We have had better but we have also had worse. When going to a new restaurant you want something to stand out in order to draw you back. The only thing that did was the super cold beer. Oh and the...service as adequate. Enjoy!!!More
We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and excellent service-we were treated well. My wife and I split the Willow Creek sandwich with chips. More than enough food for two. The taco chips were ok, the sandwich super. I also had a good side caesar salad. The...other four split pizzas and liked them very much. One had a salad with steak strips and described it as large and very tasty. Bar prepped drinks were very good. Service and attention were excellent. The place is not as noisy as other pizza places we have been to even though it was busy. That was nice as I am tired of noisy restaurants where you cannot even talk to each other.More
Great service, great choices on menu in an inviting space. Favorite is the black and blue steak appetizer.... very rich.
Thanks so much Darlene! We love to hear feedback from our guests. And I don't blame you on the black and blue bites - they are delicious! Sincerely, Kaci Pratt General Manager
A group of friends went to MacKenzie's for lunch. I ordered a small caesar salad for $7. I wish I would have taken a picture. It was awful. The lettuce was limp and had brown edges. It was swimming in dressing with a pile of...oily anchovies on top, and no parmesan cheese and no croutons. Ridiculous!!!!! I will not return and if you want to eat something green and fresh stay away! It basically was about a cup of old limp, dark green lettuce with a 1/4 dressing poured on it and then a few canned anchovies thrown on top in a pathetic pile. $7?!More
Hi Jill, I am so sorry to hear about your Caesar Salad. We have been training some new staff in the kitchen and over-dressing our Caesar salads is something we have been working on with them. Croutons and Parmesan are standard, so these must just...More
We eat here at least once a month. The pizza is very good (the Hot Hawaiian on thin crust is our favorite), and quality is consistent. The atmosphere is family friendly. Friday and Saturday the restaurant is usually filled with young families, so if you...are looking for a quiet, intimate dinner try a week night. The bar is where we usually choose to sit, and the bartenders have all been excellent. The beer is perfectly chilled and when you order a dirty dry Martini, that is what you get!More
I have eaten here now 3 times and the food has been fantastic and the service great. Last time we had 8 people, and while it seemed to take a long time to get our food, the drinks were always refilled and the server checked...on us many times. I like their selection, they have a lot more than just pizza. Some of our favorites is a pepperoni and sausage pizza, the Ruben pizza and the spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken chili is rather drab, but so many other things are great, so just get something else.More
Thanks so much! We pride ourselves in our great food and friendly service. I am glad your group received both the other night. The Spicy Chicken Sammy is one of my favorites as well. See you again soon!
A large bowl of chicken chili is $7.25. My husband has been tasting chili offerings for many moons. This one was inedible because of the seasoning and consistency >>>really bad>>send-it-back bad. My order of fish and chips(13.25) was good and hot; the replacement Grizzly burger...(11.00) was good and hot.More
Lot of choices of pastas or pizza. I have had most every pasta here and they were all great. Also looks like they have a good selection of beers and wines. They also sponsor (take care of a near by dog park)
Thanks so much for the review. Our pastas are indeed delicious! And we are glad to help out at the dog park. It's my German Shepherd's favorite place in the world. Hope to see you soon!
Yes, it says pizza in the name, but it's our favorite burger joint! My husbands favorite is the Rise and Shine, mine is the Blue onion BBQ. The pizza is fab, the nachos are delish... Good wines and Deschutes Black Butte porter on tap!!!! Mmmm
Thanks so much! We love our burgers as well. Keep an eye out for a new burger we will be debuting in September! See you soon.
This is the third time going to a MacKenzie. First time at this location. Same great menu, food, and the always fun outdoors decor that I enjoy about these places. The service here was way better than our last visit at the CDA location. Depending...on what you order, you could still get quite a bit of food for the price. This time around I went with the fish tacos. Not as an overwhelming meal as some others, but they did not disappoint. Everyone's meal came out just right and the staff did a great job keeping an eye on us. MRP is on the ever growing list of places to eat while on vacation whenever I get the chance. I'll take it off if they ever decide to sneak into the Seattle area. They're a fun place to eat at.More
