My wife and I visited for a late lunch on a Friday. The restaurant was less than half full and the service was quick and friendly. We ordered two different dishes which were both excellently prepared and wonderfully presented. The quantity was more than sufficient. I highly recommend this restaurant for a fresh taste of Mexican food.

We were on vacation in Seattle, went out to see Snoqualmie Falls and happened upon this restaurant when we got hungry. We did not expect to find such authentic mexican food this far north! We are from San Antonio, TX so mexican food is on every corner. What we found at this restaurant was of much higher quality and authenticity than what we are use to! For the folks that the complain about the blandness, there is a great salsa bar inside, the green salsa was my favorite. We sat on the patio both times we were there (yes we had to go a second time before heading back to Texas). Great service, and the food was delicious. We tried the tamale amarillo, mole, carne asada, chile relleno, chapolines, and margaritas. Prices were pretty inexpensive considering how much we were paying for mediocre food in downtown Seattle.

We could eat here several times per week but we try to limit it to once per week....it's that good! Cocktails are very good (strong) and the food is excellent. The family that owns the restaurant are great people and they are always happy to have a conversation. Everything this scratch made including the tortillas, tortilla chips and all 3 salsas. We have brought several guests here from out of state and they say it is the best they have had as well. The mole is outstanding and even if you do not get a mole dish I suggest asking for a side of it. It's worth the trip from anywhere in the Puget Sound area to experience authentic taste of Oaxaca.

After a long day hiking my wife and I stopped by for dinner at Caadxi Taste of Oaxaca after seeing so many good reviews. They were all well deserved as both of our dishes - the beef quesadillas (shrimp) and entomatadas (beef) were delicious. The portions are huge so bring your appetite.

Rather disappointed with this Mexican restaurant based on the reviews. Rather cold welcome from the waitress, even worse from the cook, no hello, disappointing. Beautiful terrace, lots of choice on the menu but cuisine without much flavor, disappointment also on that side. However, we had the house specialties but it was really disappointing, too bad. The worst part was at the time of payment where we waited for the waitress to give us change but she never came. I had to ask for my change from the waitress who had supposedly forgotten! Great potential, too bad!

We stayed outside- they allow dogs there. Busy but our food came almost immediately. Very good fajitas and tacos- like the salsa bar. The guacamole was also excellent, though a small portion. Drinks were great -especially their fruit flavored lemonade.

The best coffee! Served in a clay mug that keeps it piping hot! Great spot! The food is fresh and homemade. This will definitely be a regular stop!

Owners family is from Oaxaca in southern Mexico…and despite in small out of the way town..this place is just plain excellent..you have to pay for chips but they are home made a very tasty..guacamole infused with chili, pepper and tomatoes…very tasty … choice of salsas at the bar..we split a carne asada burrito …it was large enough to split and be full..outdoor dining an option..service attentive , although busy for lunch, we did not have to wait

Had a quick dinner and ordered the emoladas and chile relleno. The mole was classic Oaxaca mole. Very good. They had a salsa bar and the salsa were fresh made traditional style salsas - also very good. The salsa verde was muy picoso!! Excelente!! For such a traditional style restaurant, I could do without the Tex-mex chips and salsa!! Keep it traditional and classy Caadxi!! The restaurant was very clean and had a nice mexican atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. Buen provecho!

We tried this place after checking reviews on Trip Adviser - Very Good to Excellent. We arrived at 12:45 enthused about our choice. First impression was the place is dark with tables only and nothing decorative (minus 1 point). Most all of the tables were empty with used glasses, etc. giving the impression the place had been very busy. We waited to be seated and were taken to a table right next to the only other diners in the room with 5 people - tables are set very close together and I opted not to take this table. I expected the staff to offer another table after clearing, however this did not happen..we were offered a seat at the bar. The place is empty except for this one table of 5. Once seated, I expect the staff would clear off the tables and we would ask to be seated at one of these, however this did not happen even though the staff were not busy at all.(minus 1 star - #2) We ordered and were very happy with our food, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, we will not go back. The food is good unfortunately I expect more when I go out to eat. Also, we did not get an itemized bill (the machine was not working, we were told).

If you are thinking standard Mexican restaurant fare, this is not that. It's a few steps above that. Quite good. Nice atmosphere with decent prices.

This is clearly not your average formula Mexican restaurant. They are good quality with a Oaxacan (Southern Mexico) style. I had the chicken enchiladas with rice and beens. The beens were tender flavorful black beens. The enchiladas were filled with shedded chicken and covered with a light spicy green tomatillo sauce. My wife had the carne asada which was very tender. We would go back. I'd like to try the mole next time.

We enjoyed a very tasty lunch here - plenty of spice to the cuisine (an more available if needed) including some good seafood dishes.
