I called the Salish Lodge and Spa Dining Room 8/29/20 @ 225 pm requesting dinner for 2 on 9/10/20 for 6:45p, window seating, celebrating both our birthdays. The Hostess at the time informed me that she made notes on my reservation. We checked in 20...minutes early and the Host stated it should be about 5 – 10 minutes. He proceeded to say, “I see here you requested window seating, but there’s not one right now”. I replied, “So, this is the 2d year in a row that I’m not getting what I requested on my reservation”? He responded, “Now wait a minute, I have another option of patio seating that overlooks the hills, not the falls, and you still have a view”. We asked to have a look and all the tables were taken besides the back row. My husband opted for indoor dining due to the 92-degree temperature and smoke in the environment. The host “assured us” more than 3x that he “Would closely monitor the tables and move us when one becomes available as soon as possible”. He sat us in a 4-top about 25 - 30 feet from the windows, in the corner and darker part of the dining room. Hence after the appetizers arrived, a 2-seater was open to the left of the restaurant as you look at the falls. The host nor our waiter Eric G. brought it up. Shortly, a couple arrived were seated there. Before our dinner was served, two 4-seater tables freed up and no avail. Midway through our entrée, another 4-seater became available. Now, 3 tables were open that we could have been given the option to be re-seated. I would have been understanding and forgiving if we were approached by the host and/or Eric G. our waiter, with an apology or inquired if we are still interested in moving to a table with a view. Neither of which occurred. As I watched interactions between the host and the 3 other couples that arrived an hour later, each party clearly voiced they were also celebrating a birthday, were seated at the tables with the falls view. The host walked by us greater than 15x and avoided eye contact. Eric G. was disengaged and not as “customer friendly or focused” as he was with his other tables. His actions and demeanor clearly depicted that “he was going through the motions”. My husband also refilled our wine glasses during dinner. Apparently, when we celebrated in 2019, on my husband’s actual birthday, nothing has changed. My gut feeling made me look last year's review before posting this. Only to discover Eric G. was our waiter then!!! No wonder he was stand offish. I wish I remembered when he came to our table before our dinner commenced. I would have requested a different server. Thank you for ruining ANOTHER birthday Eric G!!!! All I can say is WOW.More

My partner and I came here as a treat; neither of us had ever eaten here. I was very nervous about dining indoors during COVID, but the dining room was set up with plenty of distance and all staff wore masks. We had a window...seat and enjoyed the views on a pleasant evening. Our server was incredible - I wish I remembered her name. She was incredibly professional and gracious. Another staff person kept our waters filled the entire time, which we appreciated. I had the summer squash risotto, and they accommodated my request for vegan preparation. My partner had a chicken dish and caesar salad. We had a mixed carrot appetizer. Everything was incredibly delicious and the portions were much larger than I expected for fine dining. We both left full and satisfied. The bread and amuse-bouches were also wonderful. Overall, a very positive experience and we'd recommend this restaurant to anyone. We can't wait to go back!More

First anniversary dinner and this place did not disappoint! We were supposed to be in Vegas for our anniversary but thanks to the state of COVID, we cancelled. We decided to book a stay at Salish Lodge last minute and so glad we did. Amanda...was our server and was absolutely amazing! More than amazing, actually! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect and we enjoyed every second. Chris, the sommelier, recommended a perfect wine! He also checked on us regularly and definitely went above and beyond. They really go out of their way to make you feel special. Given everything going on in the world, it was nice to get away and enjoy a beautiful evening with wonderful people. We will be back!! ❤️More

A clear, sunny Pacific Northwest day is optimum, but even poor weather will not dampen the unparalleled brunch experience at The Dining Room at Salish Lodge. It is always a great spot for entertaining out-of-town visitors, plus there is the added benefit of treating ourselves...to a wonderful brunch. Everything on the breakfast menu is fantastic but our favorites are definitely the Dungeness Crab Benedict and Dungeness Crab Omelet. Throw in their fresh honey on savory biscuits and a Bloody Mary or two and voilà! We always make reservations well in advance for best seating.More

Such a lovely spot for brunch! The menu has a lot of terrific choices, I got the crab omelette, I’ve never had such beautifully cooked eggs! Sounds weird to say but there it is. My friend and I had breakfast there and it was delicious. We both had different items and shared. Her crab omelette was fluffy, fresh and tasted the way eggs are supposed to taste; and my pancakes were light, savory and huge! Sausage was flavorful and...potatoes plentiful. We did the "honey from heaven" and was told the fun history behind it. It was a clear day so the view from the dining room...spectacular. It was a real treat of a morning. Will definitely be back!More
