The autumn duck was quite good, but the rock fish special with the smoky tomato sauce and the flourless chocolate dessert was over-the-top! They had a special Pinot Noir from Dundee Hills, which we also were glad to find here.

With the cozy atmosphere of a tiny, old railroad station, a warm reception by Nancy Gorshe and her attentive staff, and the remarkable dishes created by Chef Michael Lalewicz, the Depot Restaurant is the best dinner experience on the Long Beach Peninsula! Not to be missed!

We went to The Depot for New Year's Eve and had such a wonderful experience. They are always so friendly and our table, like others, had New Year's Eve hat, tiara, horn maker and confetti to bring in the new year. They have a nice wine list and you can purchase by the glass on certain wines only. We both... More

This restaurant is normally exceptional. Last night we had a reservation for 3 people and one was celebrating a birthday which I noted when I made the reservation. We arrived on time, were seated at our table, a waiter we all knew took our order and while we waited for our meal we sipped wine and iced tea. The meal... More

From the outside, looks quaint but not terribly noteworthy- step inside and you're in a whole other world. Can dress up if you want, although neat and tidy casual clothes are just fine here! Fantastic wine list for a smaller out of the way place. Everything we had was wonderful, but the duck was everyone's favorite, it was so tender... More

We come to Long Beach once a quarter to visit family, but really it is to eat at The Depot. We love the menu, the winpe and beer are local and the food is delicious and creative. We have always been impressed when eating here. The service is excellent and the chef's significant other works the front of the house.... More

We rarely go out for a nice meal. The Depot Restaurant was an exception worth making: we were welcomed into the Depot's warm space immediately. Full of diners on a chilly December evening, the restaurant was busy serving anniversary and birthday dinners, but staff still took the time to make us feel like special guests. We had a reservation at... More

What a great little spot. Ambiance is wonderful set in the actual old depot. This was formerly a neighborhood tavern so it is not too big. You will need reservations. The food was exquisite we had steaks and they were done to perfection. The maitre d' was also the owner and was so friendly and personable the chef is her... More

We are never disappointed when we wander in the Depot (except when we should have made reservations;-)) This is a fine dining food in a cozy, elegant gastro-pub-like atmosphere. Can't beat the rib-eye and the fish special never disappoints. Service is always great and best of all, they have some very wonderful wines by the glass, not always easy to... More

Our B&B ..the Boreus Inn..arranged a special anniversary dinner at the Chefs table. Micheal the head chef and owner welcomed us with a complimentary appetizer . Our dinners were probably the best steaks we had ever had and the service was impeccable.
