We have been once in a while Tumbleweed customers for years and really like the food. Stopped by to pick up lunch today and food/service good per usual. One reason for average review is prices keep going up here. You do receive fairly large portions,...and they do have decent specials and coupons occasionally, but still have always been on the spendy side and I think are pushing it with the price increases. As well, my crisp burrito seemed to have less filling and was smaller than in the past.More

The building is a repurposed Taco Time with unique pink and purple paint. Really not “curb appeal” in my book. The food is surprisingly good. I’m not a big fan of “Mexican food” but quite enjoyed my meal. Will definitely return again.

This is the best locally owned business in Richland. Their employees are always nice even when they're slammed on half price taco Tuesday.

Love the taco salad. Ingredients taste fresh. Good-sized portion; they don’t skimp on quantity. You’ll pay for quality and enjoy it.

This is the best locally owned fast food restaurant in Richland! Super nice people... good deals (Taco Tusedays - half off besides spacials). Great food. Even the fur babies get cookies!

We have been to the restaurant several times. It was likely built as a Taco Time or other fast food restaurant originally, but it is now locally owned and operated. Order at the counter. We have always found the employees to be helpful, friendly and...accommodating. The veggie burrito is excellent for $6; I ask for black beans on it--it's big and tasty. Both the crispy tacos and soft shell tacos are great---my wife likes the chicken crispy tacos, but I like the soft taco and ask for black beans instead of meat and it's big. And on Tuesdays tacos, crisp and soft, are half price and ALWAYS half price when one orders online! They have a really neat take on a veggie salad where they use a cooked/crispy whole wheat burrito shell and then fill it with beans, cheese, tomatoes, etc.---very good and the shell is different and likely a lot healthier than most other shells. Busy at lunch and really, really busy at lunch on Taco Tuesday. We generally go earlier or a little later to avoid the rush. And we really respect the management---each year the day before school starts, teachers eat free as a gesture of thanks to teachers. Wow. Try this place, you'll likely enjoy it. We eat there about once a week. Closed Sunday.More

It was about 430pm, i went inside, ordered, and waited for my food. I was the only customer inside and had to search for a table that was clean. The place was an absolute mess and when i got my food, it was given to...me on a dirty tray. Garbage all over the floor and at the condiment counter. There must have been at least 4 employees on duty and not 1 person came out to clean up while i was there. The food was good but over priced. Probably wont go back :(More

After being in Richland for two years, our family finally decided to try this place on a Saturday. First off, their restrooms are outside--as if this were a cheap gas station. It was not a good initial impression and it did not get better. There...is a fairly limited non-traditional menu. The prices were higher than I expected: lunch was almost $30 for two tacos, tator tots, a medium drink, and a kid's meal. My wife and I ordered soft tacos, which had decent size but lacked much more than lettuce and tortilla. Our son's cheese "quesadilla" was more like a rolled-up taco with cheese that seemed like it had been sitting for a while. Suffice to say, we won't be back.More

I had a coupon to use at Tumbleweeds worth $20. Everything was fine when we first went into the restaurant and I approached the counter. I had a couple of questions about different types of burritos, because I knew I had one in the past...that was very large and wanted to know which one it was. The fellow at the counter/register didn't seem very knowledgeable and didn't seem to want to answer questions, especially when other customers came in and a line began to form behind me. I felt pressured to order, so I hurried and said I'd get one veggie burrito and one of the veggie burritos with chicken, because I wanted the larger burritos. Looking at the menu I could see the two burritos totaled less than the $20 coupon I had, so I added tater tots and an apple churro. The fellow at the register took a long time entering the order and then said it added up to something like $24 or so. That didn't seem right to me, but I said to remove the churro. He acted like he couldn't remove an item, and I had to say again that I wanted to take the churro off the order. He looked unhappy and said he'd have to re-enter the order information, which was fine by me. Then he said the total was still something like $3.11 over the $20. I was looking at the menu and it sure didn't seem right so I started adding the items up out loud - veggie burrito was this amount, the one with chicken was this amount and the tots were X amount. He looked at me like I was either stupid or crazy and said again that the total was $23.11. I started to question him again when my partner said "Just give him the extra money." The line was getting longer, so I reluctantly went ahead and handed over the additional money. It was especially irritating because they aren't set up where the customer can see what is being rung up and how much each item is being rung up at - only the cashier can see the register. After he handed me the receipt and my order #, I left the counter to wait for my food, and I looked the receipt over very carefully because I knew I was right about the food costs. It was difficult to read the receipt because it had somehow taken off portions of the $20 coupon on each item rung up, instead of just deducting $20 from the total of everything. But I found the error - he had charged me for three burritos rather then just the two burritos I had ordered. At that point I had no desire to stand in line again or to deal with the fellow who mis-charged me, although I would have mentioned it if another team member had said something when my order was ready to pick up. That didn't happen, and at least I did get all three burritos, so... They really need to consider getting a computerized system and screen so customers can follow along as items are being added to the order - that and also it would be good to train team members to be a little more customer-oriented and caring.More

Our favorite is the steak burrito. A little pricey but worth it! We will be back again for sure next week!
