We don't visit as often as we used to, but Whistle stop is reliable. Salads, sandwiches and burgers are good. They have dinner specials most days. Decent beer selection and craft cocktails. Ceph the bartender is great.

They do have huge hamburgers and they do have lots of different beers. In fact, you will not go away wanting more to eat. Tucked away in the center of Renton Washington you will find the Whistle Stop Ale House where they serve fine foods....More

Have been here a lot always great food and excellent service. Usually have the special with a craft beer. If I'm feeling like breakfast they have it until 2pm and real good bloody Mary's.

Really enjoyed Burger, Beer, & Salad. The sweet potato fries were kind of strange color & texture (usually love them elsewhere). Good meeting place.

Lunch several times. Fish was really the Cod advertised and excellently prepared. We loved our waitress, she was neat and had her hair up and away from our food. Dinner the same week. Amazing! If they don't have the beer you drink, it's not made^_^

Hubby and I wanted to get an appetizer and ale. We ended up here and decided on dinner after seeing the menu. We had steamed clams that were to die for. I had grilled chicken pasta with Gorgonzola sauce that was great. Just wish they...More

This is definitely a Barfield, but I used to come here for food. The burgers are great, and that Miss fear is good. The staff here is nice, and they're very accommodating. I recommend getting a burger and a soda.

Dropped in for a lunch wIth a beer. Excellent Reuben sandwich; marbled rye perfectly toasted, Russian dressing not overly applied, and Swiss cheese nice and gooey. Bainbridge Island Amber the perfect accompaniment. Get Robin's section for attentive service.

Had breakfast / lunch here today with kids and grandkids. It was ok. Not wonderful, may go back but I would say it's not a destination place

Good food and friendly efficient service on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I didn't realize they served breakfast. I got the regular breakfast and subbed a pancake for the toast and my friend the homemade corn beef hash. Both were good quality. I would choose...More

Description
Old World charm may be found in downtown Renton, Washington at the Whistle Stop Ale House. For over one hundred years people have come to this neighborhood next to the railroad tracks to enjoy a pint among friends. Adding to the rustic charm is the cherry wood back bar which traveled to the Alaskan Gold Rush before finding a home in Renton. Today's brand new Whistle Stop has seventeen rotating taps that feature the finest ales and lagers of the Pacific Northwest and the World. Freshly grilled deli sandwiches are the menu specialty along with soups, salads and appetizers. Swing by for a quick lunch or spend an afternoon, either way the service is always friendly and the beer is always fresh.
