This is an wondrrful place to celebrate all life's big events with amazing steaks. While this long time establishment focus on steak, it features equally exquisite specials and options accompanied by amazing cocktails, unusual beers and great wine. And don't forget the fabulous desserts and after dinner drinks. Always make a reservation as the place is small and extremely popular!

This is one of my favorite Renton restaurants. The bar has so much history and is wonderful to sit and have dinner if restaurant is full. Cocktails are delicious and although menu is limited the evening specials never disappoint. This restaurant does not take reservations but is well worth the wait! One of my favorites when offered is the lamb!... More

We had a meal that was clearly in line with the accolades from other diners. But there were two interesting footnotes, curious really, that put me back on my heels. First, we ordered a special cocktail that contained, according to the posting, a special vermouth. The menu cost was $10. However, the bill indicated that while we were charged $10,... More

There is a reason this little steak house in Renton consistently beats out the big Seattle steak spots in in regional ratings - it's fantastic! You might wait for a table, but it's worth it. You can sip on a cocktail, beer or wine in their bar while you wait for your table. Definitely Renton's best restaurant.

They have a great Porterhouse steak. What a meal, it was over 20 oz so took home enough for another meal. We went in @ 5:00 and it was already full (Sat) as they now open the doors @ 4:00.

Warmly greeted as I entered by the hostess. There was a wait, but since I was traveling alone, I sat at the bar. Jamie at the bar immediately greeted me with a pleasant greeting and smile. Her personality really makes you feel at ease. Never pushy, checked on the food as it was brought out to make sure it was... More

The wait to get in is worth it. Sometimes rather busy on weekend nights. However, their steak is one of the best in town. I would put them up against Daniels and Ruth Chris.....at a better price/value. Can be a little noisy at times as well. Never disappointed.

I spent 3 nights in Renton last week and hit 3 great spots. This was my final choice - maybe I inadvertently saved the best for last ... ?? They don't open till 5:00, and I arrived at 5:45 - to find the place PACKED, with what appeared to be a lot of locals and regulars - a good sign... More

This was my second time dining at Melrose Grill, and I'm glad I made reservations a couple days ahead of time. It's a casual place, nothing fancy - except the service, which is top notch. Steak and shrimp combo was perfectly prepared, and the garlic mashed potatoes were better than the parmesan potatoes I had on my first visit. (They... More

Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.
