Small place so make reservations. You wont be disappointed. Atmosphere is very inviting and the service is good. They are always crowed so that tells you something.

I love this restaurant and have always had great food and great service there. Whether you're in the bar or seated in the main dining area, it's always exceptional in every way. I wish they were open for lunch, but that's because I want to eat here more often! LOL! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and be... More

Always the best steak house around. Our family and friends go to restaurant. Every dish from appetizer to dessert is delicious. Steak, lobster, specialty dishes. You can't go wrong with dinner at the Melrose.

A few days in advance of a birthday dinner, I called to make reservations. Quite surprised to have to leave my request on an answering machine! Just 24 hours shy of my requested time and two days after my call, I receive a call informing me that they cannot book my reservation! Of course I ask "Why not? It's the... More

This place has the most awesome steaks and the portions are huge. Salad, veggies, everything is good. I would have given it 5 stars but they don't take reservations for two and it tends to get noisy. The wait staff is great too !

Service was excellent! Food was not. $35 Rib-eye lacked flavor and had too much fat. Sauteed onions and Mushrooms were far below par as was brochelli and cauliflower, but garlic mashed potatoes were good. $123 Birthday meal for two was overpriced and not worth it. Sorry folks but I have to be honest.

We usually hit the Melrose to celebrate something special. Anniversary, Birthday, but we have also met friends there for a great steak dinner. When you want a complete dinner, (salad, veggie and entrée) you can have one for $20-30 per person, try to do that at restaurants where everything is ala cart. Wine list is good, with a range for... There are a few steak houses in the greater seattle area that hit everything just right...and this gem is one of them. We came right at 5pm without reservations but hoped we could get a seat without a long wait on a Monday. We were seating and the waitress was just a pleasure to have. Polite, attentiative, upbeat, and knowledgeable... More

Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.
