Great place for steak or traditional home-style cooking. Very small, but they manage the space well. During peak periods, expect a bit of a wait, but well worth any wait you sign-up for. We have been back many times and always had a great meal.

Melrose is a hideaway in Renton Washington. Great place for steak dinners, they pay close attention to service and quality in food presentation. I enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere!

Our party of 3 arrived 10 minutes b/4 opening (4:50 pm). We were the 2nd party. When we got in we were told by a rather abrupt hostess that we would have a 1.5 hr wait. Since we have a child with us we cannot wait at the bar. The hostess explained that the place is filled with reservations although... More

Perfect ambience, not too much hassle from the servers, Yet still great service. the prawns and rib-eye were to die for. Delicious. Unique wine menu. Exceeded my expectations. Good quality for the price. At other places, the total would have been much more expensive and the quality not as good. This was the kind of place where the food was... More

Awesome little gem outside the big city. I like that they won't seat you until your entire world table arrives, first come first served ... and man do they serve. Great service, great food, lively atmosphere. I will be back.

We came in after searching for a restaurant nearby our hotel. We read a couple of reviews and decided to check Melrose. What a wonderful surprise. So much that we came back the next day...

We came here on the recomendation of a bartender from another location. So glad we did, we started with a drink in the historic bar from 1901 and the very charming bartender told us about the beef stroganoff. Wr decided to go into the resturant and had the melrose cut filet a huge 14oz. It was grilled to pertfection awesome... More

Description
Renton’s Finest Foods Since 1901! * Steakhouse voted #1 Western WA in 2010 * Affordable high quality menu *Historic Landmark in Renton The building in which the Melrose Grill resides was established in 1901 and has served as a tavern since the days of the horse and buggy. It also operated as a pool hall, soda shop and card room during Prohibition. Recently restored, Melrose Grill kept its historic roots with the original mirror-backed bar with its rich, dark woods. The walls showcase vintage photos that highlight the transitions this grand building has gone through. With wainscoting on the walls, low-slung lamps and high ceilings the space feels as open as the West was when it was built. The Food and Service at Melrose Grill will amaze and delight your senses. We work hard to provide our customers with the finest foods available, and prepare them in a way that will tame even most particular palate. Voted #1 Steakhouse in Western WA by King 5 & Evening Ma.
