Fairly good Mexican fare

My son and I tried this restaurant in downtown Puyallup this week to celebrate the end of the school year. We both ordered off the combinations section of the menu. He got shredded beef tacos, which he enjoyed. I got the taco, tostada, enchilada and Chile relleno. Mine was all chicken. Honestly, the chicken was disappointing. It was canned chicken. With nothing added. There were no spices at all in the chicken meat. The Chile relleno was delicious. And the table chips and salsa was yummy. After dinner we shared banana cheesecake chimichangas and flan. The flan was some of the best I've had. The banana cheesecake was good but not great. In all, I'd say this is a good, not great Mexican restaurant.

Great food and service

We were in Puyallup for the weekend and looking for Mexican food. We decided to try Mazatlan and really enjoyed our meal. The waiter was attentive and our drinks were refilled as needed.

Average at Best - Only one person on the staff spoke English

Staff was friendly and tried hard, but only one person spoke/understood English. We pointed to what we wanted on the menu. Food was typical, average Mexican Food and the portions were generous without being overly large. Our waitress was attentive and kept our drinks filled but didn't know how to process a credit card for payment.

Happy hour experience lacking

Food very bland. Service was good. Happy hour prices were not as published. Easy area to get to with street parking. Other great bars next door.

Be careful there is a young boy on drugs that works here is racist rude and accidentally dropped his little baggy of dope on the floor.. pretty sketchy business going on here.

My wife and I came here for lunch today. They took our order for meals. It took a little longer than usual for the food to come out and when it did they did not bring us what we ordered. They took back the dish that had the wrong order and brought out the right order and while I was eating that I found a chicken bone in my meal. I told them about it and she pretty much just blew it off. I guess it must be getting hard to find good workers.

This restaurant is a family owned business that has totally went down hill since the Mom the original owner has passed away. Very poor service and very poor food.

Waited along time for food

The food was great when we actually got it. There was only one cook on and the wait for food was close to an hour. We were just getting ready to leave when our food showed up. Too bad because it is a good restaurant

Quick service good food!

Had the shrimp fajitas and an order of guacamole! Shrimp was fantastic! Fast friendly service. Been there for happy hour as well before and lots of good choices and well done drinks! I’ve also done takeout before and ordered from them on Uber eats. Consistently yummy 😋

Called an order to go. The order taker was very thorough - answered all our questions. Order was ready when promised, correct and hot. Shrimp LA Diablo was wonderful...I'll order it again.

Just another Mexican Restaurant

We visited and ordered our food. It was hot, but very bland. There was no taste to the rice and the beans vere very runny. The Chile Colorado did not have any flavor and was very greasy. Wifes chicken burrit did not have much chicken in it. Not like a true Mexican Restaurant. Not good.
