We used to live in the area in the early 80's and often went to Sluys. Came back for a visit and surprised to see it was still there. Hadn't changed much that we could see...still great bakery; still great service; still great bearclaws; still great everything! Suggest you don't pass up this tempting icon!

We have been going to Poulsbo from our Tacoma home, over the Narrow's bridge, for years. Several of our favorite stores have closed or relocated, but Sluys bakery has always been there and is the main reason why we go to Poulsbo now. While you will pay a premium for their baked goods, they are worth the price and the... More

A great place for pastries and doughnuts! They have their own special take on things here. A must stop if you are in the area and have a "hankering".

Stumbled upon this amazing bakery at 4:45am on a Sunday. We were visiting Poulsbo for an adult birthday party and this gem fell into our lap. The pasty chef served me - I kept adding to my boxes of glorious delicacies. Bear claws, cherry turnovers, cinnamon twists - so worth every darn calorie. We will drive from Snoqualmie to grab... This is a must visit here when in Poulsbo. It is the maker of Poulsbo Bread which is tasty. We got a regular coffee, which was very very good, and assorted items fresh from the oven. The smells make you want to try one of each. There are a large selection from doughnuts to European pastries and we will return to... More

Been here numerous times. The staff is always courteous and helpful. There may be a place with better baked goods, but I don't know where it is. (This shouldn't be classified as a restaurant.)

Definitely the place to go for baked sweets. Great staff, amazing tasting food. Take it out to Hot Shots coffee across the street. They are glad to have you and your Sluy's goods.

Sluys is a Poulsbo icon. Location in the heart of the downtown. The finest baked items you will find anywhere. I especially love their maple bars. Service is always great, even when crowded.

We have to come here every visit to Seattle. The baked goods are incredible. They have a huge variety but no prices on anything.

Thank Gaye A
