Over rated mediocre sweets. Cookies are terrible. So many better options around that know how to make buttery great treats. This is not one of them

The line is long but worth the wait. The Cherry & Apple turnover pastries were the Best!! Great dessert ending to a seafood meal:) Lots of construction on the main street so parking was a challenge.

Really amazed that this place is so crowded. Perhaps it is the fact that my husband and I have lived in Seattle for 30+ years, we have had much better tasting pastries, and we have high standards, this place is mediocre at best. We purchased...5 different items on Sunday, we each had about 2 bites of each and throw away the rest. Everything tastes about the same, just in different shapes with way too much sugar! We assume many of the people who line up at this place are tourists. And the place is the only game in town. Maybe that explains it.More

The choices were endless, including the proprietary poulsbo bread. You will probably encounter a bit of a wait outside because they limit the number of people inside the small space but it gives you the opportunity to peruse the windows. Staff were incredibly nice and...helpful. I took several wonderful items home.More

Fight me. These are the best donuts I've ever had. Their dough and ability to manage the sweetness is unsurpassed. I traveled from Japan to come here. Try the Viking cup reverse cinnamon roll, or I think I may have held it upside down. Whatever....Eat it.More

I walked into the bakery and it took me back to my great-grandma's and grandma's kitchen. The smell!!! YUM!!!! The taste of all my items didn't disappoint. me--except the part of not having another bite!! So good.

We were visiting family in Poulsbo and went site seeing on Front Street. Stopped by Sluy’s to get donuts for our son. The selection of baked goods was AMAZING! We ended up getting Viking donuts, scones, apple fritters, cinnamon twists and double chocolate donuts -...too much food! But we took leftovers back to our hotel and finished them the next morning - they were still wonderful after setting out for 24 hours!More

February 3, 2022, I've gone to this bakery for THIRTY plus years. Now live far enough away that we only visit perhaps twice a year. I paid $18.54 for 2 loaves of bread and 3 pastries. The "Cinnamon Apple Danish" bread was $7.25!!! It used...to be sliced twice as thick and actually contained apples. THERE WAS NOT ONE APPLE IN THE ENTIRE LOAF! it was sliced so thin it burned up in toaster. The English muffin bread @ $6.25 a loaf was also sliced so thin we are going to feed it to the birds. Sorry~~~ No longer going in for this overpriced hook and sinker.More

I like a good pastry, but these were too sweet to eat. The cinnamon/sugar coating was just too much. They also were made with cherry goop

I've been able to visit Sluy's a few times over the years when I've been in town. I've always found that the doughnuts are perfectly fluffy and are sweet but don't imo come close to entering sickly sweet territory. I got a bar on my...most recent visit, and decided to try one of their Cuban cookies as well. The doughnut was as good as it always is, and I was surprised at how good the cookie was! I'll definitely have to continue branching out from my normal order next time I visit so I can try more of their items. It's also worth noting, while everything seems to be shooting up in price these days - I was very surprised to see how affordable my order was for the quality.More

You have to ask for the Viking Cup Donuts., they are really good. It's like a round donut. It's a must stop while visiting . They have a very grand selection of baked goods available. Their breads are very good too.

Delicious bread and pastries. I loved the apple fritter and my family liked the donuts. We got a loaf of Poulsbo bread for sandwiches that week and some orange cardamom bread that was delicious!

We were driving from Seattle to Port Townsend & made a special side trip to visit this bakery (because we'd read about it online & in a travel guide). So worth it! The pastries we ate were delicious (some were unfamiliar to us, but the...woman at the coutner was very willing to explain what the delicacies were). We bought a box of goodies to enjoy during our road trip.More

I'm sure they would be able to ship to Hawaii, they may freeze it first though. You would need to ask. The owner is Dan Sluys.
