We ordered from PhoFilling and had it delivered to Pourhouse across the street, where you can drink beer on a patio overlooking the water. We were very happy with our order - we had a bowl and a noodle dish - both were extremely tasty. Food was delivered fast and in generous amounts.

I love this place. I live here and frequent Pho Thao at least once per week. The staff if friendly and gives great service. My favorite dish is the vegetarian pho. It's hard to find a vegetable-based broth and this one is fantastic. Other noodle dishes have been great if just a bit greasy sometimes.
My biggest complaint (remember I live here) is that their hours seem to be mixed up. I'm never sure when they will be open and have been disappointed more than once, thinking I could pick up dinner only to find they are closed.
Otherwise - this is darn good food.

I think they have a good variety on the menu. And they stay busy. I cannot attest to the authenticity of the Vietnamese cuisine, but I do like the food

We came here for dinner as the checkin clerk at our motel recommended this place.
The menu has enough options. We were looking for a lighter meal, not a deep fried one. We shared the fresh vegetarian spring rolls and also snow peas and chicken wok with brown rice. This was enough food for us as neither of us was very hungry. The food was tasty and fresh.
This is a popular place as we saw a lot of folks do takeout as we were eating dinner. We sat outside as it was nicer on a warm day.

I have been visiting Port Townsend a couple of times a year because I have work done on my boat there by a great shipyard.
PhoFilling has always been one of my stand-bys in PT: reasonably good food at good prices. No longer.
I just ordered my usual Vietnamese chicken salad - a dish that I’ve enjoyed often since before the pandemic. When I picked it up just now, it had shrunk by 50% in size while the price has remained the same. I can’t comment on the quality because I haven’t tasted it yet. I’m still getting over my shock at the outrageous SHRINKflation.
I’d understand a reasonable price increase these days, but to cut my food in half is not acceptable to me. The price/value ratio has gone way down the tubes.
I’m crossing this one off my list for good. Sorry about that PhoFilling, but you guys just crossed one of my lines.

Our 9 person motorcycle riding party arrived in town and wanted to walk to find dinner. Our friend noticed that PhoFilling had just turned out the open sign but he was able to persuade Martha to feed our sorry hungry group. The food was a variety of yum. We had spring rolls, teriyaki chicken, short ribs, salads and creamy chicken curry. Everyone said their food was great. Thank you Martha for feeding us so well. We took it to go as she was closed and found a lovely spot to sit on the patio overlooking the water at Pourhouse across the street.

We've been enjoying the excellent food from Phofilling for several years now. It is a unique restaurant on the Olympic Peninsula. Many of the dishes rival what you could get in the International District in Seattle, where we used to frequent. In particular, the sandwiches and salads are top notch as is the specialty dish Vietnamese stew, a sort of hearty pho. It's a small place so they can get busy. Take your food across the street to The Pour House for a relaxing meal in Port Townsend. You won't be disappointed.

Other than the fact the bathroom is RIGHT THERE in the seating area, I can't say anything else negative about the bistro. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly, and there is ample seating indoors as well as outside. I've eaten there a few times, and each time I went I always had a positive experience. The restaurant is a little on the small-ish side, but I suppose it's just a consequence of the building's design.

I’ve eaten in many Vietnamese restaurants mainly ordering their Pho. I had the combination at PhoFilling and found it to be excellent. It had an excellently flavored beef broth flavored appropriately and was rich and flavorful.
It had plenty of brisket, meatballs, and tendon. I wish there’d been more tripe as I like it. Overall I’d rate the Pho as good as any I’ve ever had anywhere. A plus was that it wasn’t greasy.
My wife ordered a bahn mi sandwich. It was delicious. The baguette was lightly toasted and the meat ingredients plus pare cilantro carrots etc were spot on.
Prices fair and service was excellent.
Couldn’t have been happier.

Not as good as when it first opened. The owner has a hard time keeping his cook. I always think I’ll give the place another chance, and I’m disappointed each time. 1,2,3 Thai is a better choice.

I love Vietnamese food and want to love this place, but it's just not happening.
I gave the Banh me a try and it was O.K., to much carrot, not enough meat. Pork was dry.
Save the disappointment. New name , same boring food.

No atmosphere, not even Port Townsend funk, but quick service, including take-out. We found the food somewhat disappointing, and as I am not proficient in the various Thai cuisines, I'll just say it seemed to lack finesse and freshness. Lots of workers at the Port eat here, so the food apparently meets that need. Khu Larb downtown is a better choice, but Thai 1-2-3 remains sketchy so we avoid it too.

I love Vietnamese food but bad is bad.The Pho is bland/watery and not much effort in preparation. Service is horrible and where's the Vietnamese people?

Neither my husband nor I have had Vietnamese food in the past, so this was an adventure. Pho Thao is a small restaurant that probably seats 30 or so. It handles a lot of takeout orders.
I believe the owner served us and was very helpful with what we should order. The spring rolls are enormous (nothing like the Chinese ones we're used to). The small pho was more than enough for 2. The flavors were delightful -- very delicate. We plan to go back at least once before our vacation ends.

This is a very small out of the way restaurant with great food. Selection was good, prices were excellent. They do a lot of take out business with the locals.
