The baker is a genius, he takes such great pride-- I get up early on Saturdays just to make sure I can get to the market before he sells out- I don't eat bread all week saving up for his scones, sandwiches and bread- if...you are a foodie this is a must!!More

Best sourdough bread ever and I love bread. Had a distinct flavor that I never tasted before. The scones were good, but wish they made one without the dill and different from the lemon/poppy. YUMMY

Dalla Notte Baking has the best croissants I've ever had in the US, and the Olympic Rye bread is so amazing! I also love getting the various croissant sandwiches each Saturday too. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Port Townsend, WA for the...farmer's market!More

We look forward to the Port Townsend Farmers' Market every Saturday, mostly because of the delicious breads and scones (and occasionally we allow ourselves a dark chocolate croissant) that Kellen has prepared. Our favorite scone is the apricot-bacon one, though last week's smoked cheddar cheese...scones were a close second. We love the varieties he creates but above all love the crisp, browned edges (all of them) and the soft, bready interior, His breads are equally good, our favorites being the kalamata olive and the beet. Whole grained products are available at a second bakery here, and we love those too - but Kellen's are our favorites!!!!More

Look, I'm a foodie who looks for very wholesome and healthful bakery goods. While these are beautiful and tasty, they're anything but healthful particularly with the near complete reliance on WHITE FLOUR! The scone that my husband bought was very dry (had one bite).I have...mentioned the need to have whole grain choices to them, but apparently it's not in their agenda to include items for those of us who require whole grain. And it's NOT a restaurant but keeps being added in with them. It's a stand at the Farmers' Market that just opened this weekend.More

Hi Tenayaca, I appreciate your health oriented response/review of my goods. As the baker, I do source and utilize whole grains with roughly 40% of our menu. It is true, you will not find a whole grain croissant, but just last week at the market...More

Port Townsend has few outstanding restaurants but is blessed with many wonderful bakers including Della Note. Everything there is first rate. This is not a restaurant, it's a space at the Port Townsend farmer's market. Give it a try.

Kellen Lynch, the owner and sole baker of Dalla Notte, is someone that you just have to visit when exploring Port Townsend. You can find him at the local Saturday farmer’s market (found in Uptown), and I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. He’ll be...at his stand, bright and early, ready to greet you with a winning smile, and to eloquently answer all your questions about his scrumptious breads and pastries. This guy has everything from a perfectly flakey, buttery croissant to magnificent bread loaves. If you’re a fan of rye, then you must try his delectable creation—-a perfectly sized, 100% whole grain rye loaf that’s splendid as a dinner side, or for a picnic, or for just plain toast…I could go on. Kellen sources local ingredients whenever he can, and you’ll often see that he uses vegetables and cheeses that can be found (and purchased) in the farmer’s market! So whether you’re looking for a bite of Paris, or a hearty whole grain loaf of bread, make sure you stop by and give this guy a visit. Your tastebuds will thank you… —-a fellow bakerMore
