A must for visitors and locals alike.

Great food, wonderful service, cozy atmosphere. Starters are a good way to begin & drinks are tasty. Filet with Maytag Blue Cheese is my favorite!

I truly enjoyed my dinner there when I arrive solo. My food was cooked perfectly and the service was very attentive. I look forward to my return visit.

Everyone in town told us we had to have dinner at Alchemy. We arrived at 8pm on Saturday night and felt invisible from the moment we walked in. No one welcomed us, and we had to walk through the whole restaurant before we finally sat ourselves at the bar. Someone finally threw some menus at us without a word or... More

Wow! Superior service with excellent food. Wide variety of adult beverages. Menu reflective of exquisite dinning with reasonable pricing. The young lady at the door made a little "oops!" and promptly made it right. We all had a bit of a chuckle over it. Had a seafood dish and the mussels - DELICIOUS. Our friends had a specialty that wasn't... More

Its a good thing we are use to eating early as we did not have reservation. We were seated and the place quickly filled up. There were several selections that I had to choose from and all looked enticing.

A good venue for a quiet evening drink or dinner. During happy hours there is a reduced price menu ($5 - 7) for lighter fare. I love the shellfish bisque. The staff is attentive and the food excellent. My discussion group meets for lunch in a private room that is ideal for a comfortable meeting.

The menu sounded appealing, the preparations interesting, and the reviews solid. Unfortunately, the meal peaked at the appetizer phase, with a delicious (though unnecessarily buttery) bruschetta. This should have tipped us off regarding what was next: Butter and fat substituted for flavor. I ordered the halibut, substituted the red snapper due to seasonal availability, and was disappointed. The fish was... More

This place came highly recommended, and was the perfect spot to head to after our movie at the Rose. As soon as we arrived, we were glad that we had made a reservation (even on a Tuesday evening). Lots of people, plenty of conversations going on, great atmosphere. We enjoyed our dinner, but the wait for our food almost ruined... More

My daughter and I were looking for a nice place to visit and explore our tastes and we heard good things about the Alchemy Bistro in Port Townsend. It is in a nice location with-in walking distance of several mom pop shopping stores so after a day of strolling thru stores it was a good place to eat. Nice atmosphere... More

Alchemy was recommended to us when our first choice of restaurants had to unexpectedly close just as we arrived. So we shifted to Alchemy. All 4 of us thought that the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. And all of us mentioned that our server was pleasant and helpful. However all 4 of us concluded that the food was rather ordinary...and one... More
