I recently visited Port Townsend with my dad to go antiquing. We stopped in here for lunch as it is one of my dads favorite places. The restaurant itself was decorated lovely for Christmas! It definitely put us in the spirit. We weren't that hungry so we split the angels on horseback appetizer and the duck salad. Both were delicious,... More

My eldest son and I ate at Alchemy Bistro for a late luncheon on our first day in Port Townsend during our vacation week to the Puget Sound area during early November. We had been doing a walking tour around Port Townsend's historical Downtown and worked up an appetite. We were intrigued by the Alchemy Bistro's charming outside appearance, so... More

Recommended by the staff at The Bishop where we are staying for a long Thanksgiving weekend. Best part was the mussels in Pernod cream broth paired with a glass of Sancerre. The cioppino was full of mussels and clams and salmon. A bit salty and could have had more spice. The featured salad with arugula and watermelon radishes and pepitos... More

Good knowledgeable staff serving very generous portions of fresh quality food for reasonable price. We would have appreciated louder background music to avoid hearing all the loud patron's business from another table in the wine bar!

great menu offerings, good wine selection. This was my fire time here, but it seems a very popular place with locals

My Husband & I came here 2 years ago for my Mother's b-day & loved it! The ambiance, service & food were impressive! When we came this time it was our Anniversary & they did not disappoint! The wonderful setting was moved around a bit for a live dinner theater engagement. Still perfect! We ate in the wine bar with... More

Great gorgonzola squash soup! Outstandingly delicious. The reuben was also yummy. Loved it there and will stop again when I'm back in town!

This quirky restaurant and bar is located right in the historic district, and serves very fine food with a French touch. We sat in the bar area, which is darker and more intimate than the main dining room, and really liked it there. Also, the drink menu has some very impressive choices, worth checking out.

The dish to get here is the Croque Madame (with an egg on top)....cooked to perfection and pretty on the plate. The spinach salad with duck was a huge disappointment, however, particularly as the server had recommended it. The duck was bland and overcooked and the spinach "salad" was just plain spinach plopped on a plate (not tossed in dressing).... More

These guys can be pricey, but the setting is rather elegant, they have someone playing music in the background, they have suitably snooty waiters. The food was good, we liked everything we ordered -- except the oysters. Don't order the oysters. They were tiny and just insanely overpriced for what you got. Otherwise it was a nice evening.
