My wife and I stopped in without a reservation but we were able to sit at the bar. Our server recommended the Hedges Bordeaux blend wine from WA and we enjoyed it with local mussels and an excellent cheese plate. Staff was very friendly and helped with the recommendations.

We've dined here many times because we love the food, ambiance and service. Our recent visit was different as I was on an extremely restricted diet that made eating out an impossible dream. Luckily, I called ahead and was assured the staff would work with me to provide a meal I could eat. They not only fulfilled that promise, but... More

Although I only sampled one item on the menu, it was very good, and lovely to look at. The wine selection was excellent, more important to me than the food ;), and they offered a Rose flight that was delicious! My server, Tyler, was fantastic. There is a charming patio, with a view of the fountain and a glimpse of... More

Had brunch with an old friend. 3 different waitresses were involved and gave us great attention. Kept the coffee and drinks full, were right the when we needed them. Food was wonderful, overall great experience.

We came to this restaurant because of its proximity to our Palace Hotel in Port Townsend. Turned out to be a great choice! Very pleasant ambiance, attentive, knowledgeable service and a very pleasant experience, overall. As a veggie, I continue to be stymied by the offering of a locally sourced vegetable risotto that has a chicken broth base when the... More

We were thankful to be able to get in here for dinner and be seated immediately (recommendations are typically necessary). The food was excellent. It was my first time trying paella, a plate that I would highly recommend and the waiter was kind enough to suggest a wine that paired perfectly with the seafood. The Brazilian steak was also excellent... More

A stand out in PT where there are so many fine restaurants. The food is amazing, the decor interesting and the service great. The only problem is we ate our entire meals, which is unusual as we always take home tomorrow's lunch. But it was so good we had to finish. The salmon Benedict was perfect, both the sauce and... This is probably the best restaurant in the Port Townsend area with consistently high quality at an affordable price. We live in the area and have tried most of the restaurants, but always come back to Alchemy. My favorite dish is the Lamb Shank and my wife loves the Duck Breast, although we have tried many other entrees on the... More

This was our first visit to Alchemy Bistro. It is an attractive restaurant and wine bar. It offers a nice variety of dishes and appetizers. The bread, olives and olive oil that arrive when you are seated were very tasty. We each had a pasta dish. Both were average size servings and were both well flavored and prepared. There is... More

We first went to the Alchemy because it was the only restaurant open past 8PM in non-tourist season. We have returned for the wine selection and fine dining. This is not the place to go if you want something quick. The tone is relaxed and slow. We have never been rushed to finish so we've met friends at 6:30 and... More
