We were looking for a place with outside seating and good food. We found it. We selected the outside tables at 4:30 so we could get a seat. Until 5, you can get drinks and some limited food. At 5, the dinner is officially open for the full menu. We enjoyed are selection of Cassoulet, a French Dish. The Goat... More

great food, very busy on a summer weekend. very slow to get service and dinner. We were not in a hurry so enjoyed visiting with friends but if you have timed plans, do not dine here on a summer weekend night.

Visiting historical Port Townsend- fun town to walk around. The restaurant is in walking distance from the ferry. We sat outside, the server was friendly and the food was fresh. They don't rush you along, you can take your time and enjoy. Very nice experience.

I had a delightful dinner here with my girlfriend. She had a manicotti-like dish and I had a duck dish. Her dish was only okay, it seemed very heavy handed on the spinach flavors. The duck on the other hand was delicious. It had a crisp skin without drying out the meat and was paired with delicious mashed potatoes. The... More

We loved this place! Super delicious and fun for meeting friends for drinks at the end of the day. Highly recommend. The clam chowder was also out-of-this world. We went for lunch and liked it so much, we went back for drinks that night with friends!

We returned to Alchemy after a previous 5 star visit. The drunken rabbit sandwich was outstanding. For this latest visit i had already decided to order the Cassoulet. After taking my order the waitperson returned and advised the kitchen couldn't prepare the dish as they had no beans! This was on a summer Sunday when one would anticipate someone may... More

We knew it was going to be a fun evening when I order a cocktail before dinner—Tequila in You Boot which the server warned can be quite spicy. While it was spicy, it was not too spicy, simple unique and refreshing. For an appetizer we shared Scallops Verjus (Seared Maine Sea Scallops). Entrees were pan-seared duck and medium rare filet... Finding a great restaurant in Port Townsend is like finding an honest politician. Not many to be found. The exception in Port Townsend is Alchemy Bistro which offers world-class entrees and very well-priced wine. My wife, son and I have eaten their every year during "blues week" to celebrate my wife's birthday. During the week we have the opportunity to... More

Two restaurants in one , We went to the side by the fountain and steps with grandchildren aged 8,9 and 12. The other side is adults only. Do try the cheese plate and the belly pork. A very wide range of good wines available by the glass was a real bonus.

On my last day vacationing in Townsend and Sequim, my cab driver recommended Alchemy for dinner. A perfect choice. Nestled against a window overlooking the town at dusk, I started with a wine flight, a lovely spinach garbanzo salad, and the best marinated olives I've ever tasted. Rhonda, my server made sure my wine flight not only complimented the salad,... More
