Kind of a weird location for a restaurant and luckily the quirkinesses does not stop there. Love, love, loved it! They had outdoor seating available, and the place was pretty packed the whole time I was there.
I usually don’t eat breakfast but there were too many things on the menu I wanted to try that I flexed. The French toast with pecan butter did not disappoint. I want to move to Port Townsend just so I can eat at the Blue...Moose regularly. Also, my vegan eating husband loved his meal. Amazing food for everyone (although not sure about GF.)More
These gals were so kind, patient, and amazing with our kids. The food was to die for, best eggs benedict I've ever had. Kids said the pancakes were great and cinnamon roll french toast had us drooling. Will definitely be back! Thank you!
A bit off the beaten path, we had a lunch and a breakfast here. Really great food: home fries are made with red potatoes, tuna sandwi h was yummy and savory. Standouts are their buttermilk pancakes and homemade corned beef hash. Several kinds of toast...options including sourdough and a yummy grainy wheat bread. Highly recommended!More
This gem is off the main path and I’m so glad we found it. Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and the decor was perfectly charming for a breakfast diner! I had the vegetarian Ode to Ina with veggie sausage and it was fantastic....My husband got the corned beef hash - definitely made fresh and holy smokes did we end up with a lot of food! So glad we’ll be back the next time we come to town.More
We went to the Blue Moose because it was rated #1 of all Port Townsend restaurants. If this is #1, we won't be going to #2. The property itself is old and very shabby, run down and ugly. Parking is very poor. The restroom is...a hole in the wall the size of a small closet. Took 25 minutes to get two sandwiches that were OK, but average at best. The waterfront picture was probably taken a quarter of a mile away. The only view is of another guest's arm pit.More
It is a very tiny place and I guess in season (not winter) there can be a wait. Maybe in summer you can sit outside. It is hard to find as it is in the shipyard and is tiny (and blue). Service is fast and...friendly.More

Hi- no reservations; this is a very very small “funky” place - where you come in and find a table or wait; we usually go in the fall-winter as summer it gets crowded. But if you don’t go at a popular time - say 8 a.m. for breakfast - you will be fine. And you can wait outside with a cup of coffee.
