The winter and spring rains can wear you down in Olympia, but a great remedy is to have drinks and an organic roasted chicken at The Mark. You have to make a reservation and request a chicken and roasted potatoes (that easily feeds a party of 4) in advance, but it is so worth it. Add a house salad and... More

The Mark is a very intimate place that's open in the evenings Thursday thru Saturday. It has a menu of steak, seafood, chicken and pasta, with various crafted drinks. We've always received excellent service and wonderful food. There most interesting item is a whole roasted chicken, cooked over apple wood. You do need to reserve this dinner because it is... More

As most reviews may suggest, going to the Mark is unlike going to any other restaurant or bar in Olympia. Why? It is intentional and fresh. The intimate, sophisticated space invites you in with candlelit tables and enticing cocktail, antipasti, dessert, and dinner menus. Perfect for a date, drinks with friends, business dinner, birthday party, or even a good book...... More

Oh it was the perfect day for this. Rainy. Stormy. So cozy inside. The martini was excellent. The mussels however were way too salty. I'd read a review of them saying the same, but I ordered them anyway. Silly me. The flavor of the broth was outstanding. The best ever. Just way, way too salty. It ruined the whole dish.... More

Wide range of cocktails, which they specialize in, but if you try to order food it's another story..they never want to serve you. Either the cook is off, they aren't serving right now, or they are too busy to serve food and will not take an order. What kind of restaurant is that. Atmosphere is cool and funky, so if... More

I really wanted to like this place, given that they get their meats from Colvin Farms locally and report many of their other ingredients are local and organic. However, the service was so, so slow that I can't imagine trying to go back. This is our 2nd time, as the first time the service was so slow that we decided... More

The food is fine (rustic Italian). The cocktails, however, are great. This is a place to have a well made cocktail (if you are driving just have one). I like the old school red velvet curtains.

All their beef and pork are sourced locally. Well executed, good quality pasta dishes. Creative drink menu...good and reasonably priced. Perfect setting for a layed back dinner, drink w friends or a romantic evening.

Lousy recipes and limited selections. I don't understand the good reviews of the food here at all. Go to Basillico's, downtown on Capital Way, if you are looking for good, authentic, made from scratch Italian food.
