First time in Olympia and was looking for a good meal...I got to the restaurant and the restaurant was almost empty but still had a long wait to be seated. The host wanted to seat me in the bar because I was alone...I asked for a table and he seemed upset. When I did get seated there was a long... More

Met an old friend here for lunch. Started with a bloody Mary and while the mixer was tasty the garnish seemed a bit washed out -it came with an olive, a pickled string bean, a pepperoncino and a small onion. Both the string bean and the pepperoncino seemed tasteless -which I'm not sure why that would be? Our waiter was... More

What a disappointment. Use to be a great place to eat and entertain friends from out of town. Tonight the food was mediocre at best. The cake was dry and tasted old. Mentioned it to the server who said nothing, nor did she offer to take it back for something different. At 8:30pm we went inside to the bar to... More

Our first day in town and several people on the train and in town ravened about the Oyster House and we found it right away, It was Saturday about 4:30pm and they were packed outside because of the beautiful weather, lots of families and kids. We started with drinks and appetizers. Now I'm not sure if we had a very... More

Busy Labor Day weekend. Harbor Days an end of summer event in Olympia... Oyster House is NOT open on Sundays,WHAT!!! Lots of people wanting to eat a nice meal overlooking the water, state capitol and enjoy the lovely warm sunny afternoon. This was a HUGE mistake on their part!

This was my favorite restaurant in Olympia. We live 45 minutes away from Oly so this was always our go to restaurant. First time eating there since they rebuilt. The prices were shocking and the service wasn't much better. Was hoping the food was still the same but it was horrible. I had halibut and chips. Halibut was undercooked and... More

We stopped here on impulse because she loves oysters and we figured a prominent oyster house in Olympia was a sure bet. They oysters were very good quality, but very expensive and not well shucked (one not properly detached, more shell fragments than expected). He had the halibut tacos, which were made with good quality halibut but otherwise uninspired and... More

The waiter brought the sides for two orders before the appetizers, and still no drinks after waiting about 20 minutes. Asked the waiter about it, he said 'oh they are probably up.' The Hefeweizen tap beer tasted like water. After two sips I told the waiter to take it back and replace it with a different beer because the Hefeweizen... More

Unfortunately, other than the beer, nothing was delicious. I ordered the clam strip basket. When it was delivered, I mentioned how dark the strips were. The waitress nodded her head and left. I tried to eat 3 of the strips. I would have had better luck with an all season radial. I looked across the table at my wife's plate... More

Don't waste your time unless greasy food is the highest priority on your agenda. Service is spotty. TV's are blasting. Ambience is so average. There is a saltwater view but you sacrifice on food. Don't waste your money. You can do much better for food, view and ambience in Olympia.
