Right off the exit to evergreen college, you will find world class breads, pastries, breakfast, sandwiches, pizza, lasagna and, Roaster of the year, Olympia Coffee. They are in a new location (the location shown above is out of date) and they expanded the bakery to include breakfast and lunch items. We came in for lunch today and ordered a breakfast sandwich and an omelet. First, the omelet. It was small, and very plain. The breakfast sandwich was decent, but it was cool, not hot. They... More

It has a nice local vibe, good brunch, soups, coffee drinks, and baked goods (although surprisingly very little gluten free), and usually nice music. There's outdoor seating for nice weather. Today there was good live folk music, but it was too loud so we couldn't stay, which was too bad. Prior to that, the kitchen staff had some "head banger... More

My wife and I were in Olympia for a few days from Vancouver, BC. We don't have the greatest farmers markets where we're from and heard amazing things about the Olympia Farmer's Market (and decided to check it out). Sadly we got there just when it was closing and we were craving some baked goods. We approached the lady working... More

The Blue Heron has been around a while and has a definite following. All of their stuff looks beautiful but be aware, this is whole wheat to the core. That cinnamon roll will take two cups of coffee and will last you all day.

Had a late afternoon snack here: grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza. The food was fine for a quick meal but nothing special. The service was attentive and reasonable quick. We had some of their brownies for take away dessert - they were very good.

We had breakfast here. It was good but not great. The latte was average. The breakfast was an egg dish that was pretty good. The service was friendly and the new location is nice. It has plenty of parking and is pleasant inside. I certainly will try this again.

I have always loved this bakery and just recently, they moved up the hill from Mud Bay to 4419 Harrison Avenue NW Suite 108! I had a wonderful slice of carrot cake and tasty coffee! I love seeing that they offer dinner also and home-made ice cream! You go BHB!

The Blue Heron Bakery just popped up near our best friend's house. We walk the dogs together all the time and this gave us a new pit stop! It was a blistery day in Olympia and they have some great HOME MADE ice cream. I got some berry action, my wife (and the rest of our party) got a hazelnut... More

I enjoyed the most delicious, vegetarian, lasagna I have ever eaten. Yum! That along with a fresh, crisp, salad was a reasonably-priced, perfect lunch. This is a business made famous for their breads and baked goods. I am so glad they are using their talent to create breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have moved from a location further out Mud...
