The atmosphere at the cafe is very welcoming and comfortable. I enjoy coming here for the vibe. I really wish the menu offered specific vegan options though. I hardly eat at the cafe due to this. If there was a more vegan friendly menu I...would frequent the restaurant more.More

I like this place. It's got a definite old school hip feel to it and the food is a lot more orgo than I'm used to but is tasty and fun and they feature some truly great music.

The import shop is amazing, fairly priced, and a smorgasbord for the eyes. The attached cafe offers tasty paninis, soups, and salads, and is wonderfully quirky in it's own rights. A friendly and fun place. The hours are a little loop limited, so make sure...you don't miss it!More

This is as much a coffee and dessert spot as a restaurant for meals. It's cosy and casual, and the food is good -- mostly salads & sandwiches. We enjoyed the live music -- gentle accoustic guitar.

We were at the farmers market and shopping downtown. Stopped for lunch. Enjoyed a Siciliano panini with Prosciutto ham, Havarti cheese, fresh Roma tomatoes and fresh basil pesto. Shared a full sandwich it made a nice lunch for 2. The iced tea is very good.

Lots of homemade, organic, natural, vegan - you name it! Folksy atmosphere - where the locals eat. Awesome one-of-a-kind gift shop with it.

Traditions has been in Olympia for years. Small, unassuming and good. We went for dinner and music. A singer named Lavon performed and was very good. The space where the restaurant is located is a bit small, and their entertainment always seems to sell-out. The...food is fresh and made on the spot. Panini sandwiches and a small selection of pasta type items are served. If it weren't for the entertainment, I don't think I'd ever go there just to eat, but given the quality of the performances, I'd recommend it every time.More

Traditions Restaurant and shop is an interesting restaurant. It is very Bohemian/Hippie experience type restaurant. The shop os all about free trade. A fun place to browse. The have a small menu. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. One of...their popular dishes are soups. A favorite is the Ginger Carrot soup. They offer soups daily. They also have some good sandwiches and several desserts. Several vegetarian items are offered. Very simplistic restaurant across from the lake. They offer poetry readings some evenings.More

Liked it so much, went back for a second visit. Great soup/sandwich/salad combos. Only complaint would be that placing an order is really old school, with the cashier taking notes on plain white slips of paper. This introduces delays and occasional confusion. But a great...atmosphere including on one visit, an excellent pianist!More

This restaurant is a "New Age" restaurant. The food is not very good. It's stuck in all of the lefty, new age food fads. It uses local ingredients whenever possible. It has a lot of vegan on the menu. Very little meat. Sweeteners include sugar,...honey, and xylitol.More
