Mom and I needed a break from my cooking. So we headed to our favorite restaurant, the Shilo. After me asking for iced sweet tea for over 3 years, our waitress Theres was very proud to bring my a glass. Nothing like getting my favorite beverage when not in the south east

Yes, we're locals and have eaten a time or two at The Shilo - but, at best, have found the food to be mediocre and the facility in dire need of a good remodeling. The wait staff have always been friendly and - usually - efficient. Prices are about "the going rate" in our small seaside city - but the... More

We spent a night at the Shilo Inn in July. We had heard so much about the restaurant and were looking forward to having breakfast there. But, I have a deathly allergy to all shellfish. This is the very first restaurant we have even found were cross contamination was a possibility because of the shell fish on the breakfast menu.... More

We waited over an hour to be seated, the restaurant wasn't full, then waited another 45 minutes for our order to be taken. Food was expensive and unimpressive.

Therese was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the food served. Her description of the house salad with fresh apple and home-made vinagrette, and fresh-baked bread made me order them, and I was NOT disappointed. Also, she surprised us with a happy birthday decadent dessert, along with a sweet song as she served it with two forks, for me and my... More

Is there a mysterious parallel universe where Shilo is the shiz? Are the folks that gushed about this place goofing on the ocean air? Like others already stated... Decor? Old Food? Average Service? Slow but friendly Clams? Sandy Calamari? Rubber Clam chowder? Rich and very good

When I saw this was rated on average over 3 stars I had to write a review. There is one word for this place. . . Average. The dining area has ripped booth fabric, missing light covers, and decor from 1990. The food was average. I am not knocking the place average is fine just don't expect great or wow.... More

Stopped in for breakfast and the food was excellent. This is a must try while in Ocean Shores and especially if you are staying there.

We ate here for the convenience of not having to leave our hotel after a long day of travel. It was fine...nothing great...nothing awful. Our server was slow but very friendly. The view out the large windows would probably have been very nice. Unfortunately, between the fog and the gull streaks, there was nothing to see.
