My husband and I go to Chuck Wagon every couple of months for the burgers and shakes/malts. I like the shakes. My husband likes the malts. They are better than most because they use quality ice cream. They have a variety of hamburgers. I don't think you will go wrong with anything you select. We usually split an order of... More

The inside atmosphere is a blast from the past with the great touch of having model trains on a variety of tracks moving around above you. It also has that feel from the staff. Although very young, probably their first job in some cases, but still very friendly and proficient at what the task at hand was. They were busy,... More

This has been the favorite hamburger place to go in Mt Vernon since the late 1940's and our friends used to cook there in 1962 & 1969 while in high school. They still make great burgers and milkshakes, but don't stay open past 8:30 on weekends so be sure to go early. And please update your aging 2006 sign &... More

We finally made a stop here after hearing it was voted best burger in Mt Vernon years ago. This would be an excellent place for kids ! I wish I had taken my son here when he was a few years younger, I doubt he would ever want to leave . The food is the important thing and although it... More

I visited the Chuck Wagon on my last night in America. I'd heard about the overhead toy railway and had seen the menu in advance. The 'Big Sue' four patty Burger in a six inch bun met my expectations as did the buffalo Burgers for my friends. Sadly only one of the trains was working as the others were being... More

The atmosphere is casual so kids are able to "be kids" to a point. Food is average. New owners tend to be "picky" about the kids. They need new hi-chairs as they were filthy. Bathroom is not real desirable either.

As we all know this restaurant is two years older than Moses and his been a staple in the valley for years for burgers and fries – whenever I'm in Mount Vernon this would be my first choice for a burger and fries – I especially enjoy their fries – I've become a bit of a five guys fan but... More

Same trains running on top (toy ones, relax!), same good quality burgers and the perennial smiles to greet customers. Would like to wish a long and successful run.

I want to give a shout out to the Chuck Wagon Drive In!! If you want a great hamburger and fries etc. then this is the place to go!! The workers are always genuinely happy to see each and every customer that I have ever witnessed them wait on. Their food is fresh, not cooked ahead of order time. Their... More
