So very happy to see that The Roanoke Inn ('The Roey' to some of us) made the Top 10 List of Seattle Bars to visit in the Seattle area. It is a historical treasure that continues to welcome patrons (am I dating myself here) for decades and decades. It is comfy and always welcoming. In the summer you can dine... More

We discovered this restaurant after a stair-step hike, having a brew and lunch in its lovely back yard. There are 6-8 "stations" with a table and umbrella, with rhodies in between so you have a great sense of privacy. The food is very good and they have a great selection of draft beers, but the big draw in the beauty... More

There aren't too many bars on Mercer Island, so The Roanoke often becomes crowded. There's no hostess, and the bar is very small. As a result, if you don't get a seat when you walk in, you're not going to get one unless you hover over an occupied table. Parking is very limited. It can be a fun place to... More

Good breakfast. Nice atmosphere. No screaming children. 😊 We have eaten there in the evening too and seated outside is quiet. Great service.

I've wanted to go to this place for a while since my husband was raised on Mercer Island. We went there for my husband's 40th high school reunion. There's a nice grassy area that's huge and has several tables. Nice when the weather is gorgeous like it was. We went later that weekend with our parents, and I have to... More

Many sunny day options including outside in a fenced lawn with tables. A cut above bar food and a great neighborhood spot.

It's like going to a brew pub that opened in the 1920s. Food is basic pub fare that is well prepared. They have an outside patio that is great in warm weather. Service can be a bit slow. BE AWARE THAT THE ROANOKE INN IS CLASSIFIED AS A TAVERN AND WASINTON STATE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW MINORS IN TAVERNS (no... More

So unimpressed I don't even know what to start with. The waiter sucked. The food was wrong and sucked. I drove over from Bellevue on business in the area and decided to stop in as it seemed very popular. The food is glorified bar food. The waiter didn't even get my order right then proceeded to ignore me until I... More

This quaint inn is a great local restaurant on Mercer Island. Their burgers, French dip sandwiches are great! It is a busy spot and can be noisy but the atmosphere is lively with the locals on the Island.
