It's like going to a brew pub that opened in the 1920s. Food is basic pub fare that is well prepared. They have an outside patio that is great in warm weather. Service can be a bit slow. BE AWARE THAT THE ROANOKE INN IS CLASSIFIED AS A TAVERN AND WASINTON STATE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW MINORS IN TAVERNS (no... More

So unimpressed I don't even know what to start with. The waiter sucked. The food was wrong and sucked. I drove over from Bellevue on business in the area and decided to stop in as it seemed very popular. The food is glorified bar food. The waiter didn't even get my order right then proceeded to ignore me until I... More

This quaint inn is a great local restaurant on Mercer Island. Their burgers, French dip sandwiches are great! It is a busy spot and can be noisy but the atmosphere is lively with the locals on the Island.

We visited friends who recently moved from California to Mercer Island. The Roanoke was our first stop after driving in from the airport. Walking into the tavern, the immediate impression is a vibe nothing short of local awesome. Excellent bar food, appetizers, burgers, fries, good selection of craft beers, draft and bottled beers. Wine selection also decent. While the local... More

the Roanoke is a historic landmark and is very well known. Visitors from out of state always ask to go to the Inn and are always in awe. Food, atmosphere, etc. always excellent.

After living in Seattle as a child and living south of the big city, and visiting my children when they lived on the Island, I never once visited this place. Well, we did last Sunday, a beautiful warm afternoon with friends. The setting is absolutely delightful, the place historic, but the food absolutely nothing to write home about! Because I... More

Good homey place. The steak sandwich was very good. The fries were the perfect crispiness. We had plain cheese nachos which had plenty of cheese, quite good. My boyfriend enjoyed his BLT which he took home half of for lunch the next day. It came with cole slaw which was also good.

Love this little gem! Whether hitting up the Roanoke for happy hour wine sampling or lunch (fish tacos are divine), this place is a favorite for business or pleasure - in rain or shine. With its long history seemingly etched into the relaxed decor of the pub's interior, the outdoor terrace welcomes the sun in a beautiful garden setting. Friendly... More

The Roanoke is a Mercer Island tradition and the place where the locals hang out. Breakfasts are outstanding with other meals being bar food but tastes great and hits the spot after a Seahawks or Sounders game. The staff are like family offering friendly and efficient service. Don't miss the Roanoke if you are in the area!

Dive bar environment with good beer choices...but food quality for price is substandard. Go for the friends/beer...not for the food.
