Most people probably enter this bakery with the intent to buy one or two items, then end up with a box full. I was no exception. I was a bit misled by cckraft's review, which I think is for the Dutch Mothers restaurant nearby, east down Front Street, for here I didn't see a menu of any kind, just a... More

What a great place! Have been there twice. Today 7 of us cycled nearly 40km from Canada to have lunch at this bakery. The food is ample, fresh & reasonably priced. Best sandwiches ever. Best desserts.

The best cinnamon roll ever! It was super moist and super soft. And for this big piece at 2.99, it was really worth the trip! Next time, I will try the other varieties of cinnamon roll. Also, will bring a friend to half with and share the joy!

Went for breakfast with a group of six. The service was great and the food was very good. We ordered dutch pancakes, bacon and eggs, and poridge, all were good and the servings were very large. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

I had read the reviews and took a look at the menu and two items peaked my interest. The strawberry-rhubarb pies and the 2 pound apple fritter. Well, I was not disappointed. The bakery was a little busy with locals and tourist. I purchased a giant fritter and a mini strawberry-rhubarb pie. The fritter was fried (yes fried) to perfection.... More

I bought 4 mini pies: a dutch apple, peach, bumble berry (3 berries) and raspberry/rhubarb pie to sample with my family. The crusts were flaky and fillings not too sweet, just perfect. Delicious!!

I loved this bakery till I learned they were still using hydrogenated oils in their food. Till this practice changes I can no longer enjoy their pies, cakes, muffins etc.

There were four of us that stopped for lunch, one being a local. Busy on a Friday around 2:00. I ordered a corned beef sandwich on marble rye and it was one of the freshest tasting sandwiches, especially the bread. Others ordered the spinach salad with fresh berries and split pea soup and the super croissant sandwich. We also split... More

We stopped in for a late lunch on Tuesday. All of the baked goods were tempting but I'm trying to lose weight so opted for the soup and sandwich. My husband had the split pea soup (the specialty) which he rated as good but just average. This looks like a wonderful bakery but other than soups, sandwiches, salads they don't... More
