We live on the Island and have dined at the Willows numerous times during the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. Visiting Lummi Island and dining at the Willows is unique epicurean and sensory experience which is perfect for a special occasion. It is expensive, but a delightful surprise which needs to be experienced and enjoyed without written... More

We traveled to Lummi Island specifically to dine atthe Willows. Our dining experience did not disappoint. The many courses showcased the bounty of the Pacific Northwest-from berries, herbs and black truffles to salmon, clams and venison. The dining room is lovely, and the view of the sunset from the front porch even lovelier. The staff were informative and enthusiastic about... More

For those that appreciate fine cuisine and a unique experience, this is the place. If you are looking for a meal that delights and satisfies, you may be disappointed. The experience at the Willows Inn is one you won't forget, but is unique. It was not our style of dining.

This will be one of the most spectacular dining experiences you will ever had. Over three hours, the incredibly friendly and competent staff delivered 20 courses of some of the most unusual and delightful locally-sourced dishes you can imagine, and plenty you couldn't have ever fathomed. Truffle and rye on baked kate. Dungeness crab puree with pine nuts. An edible... More

Dinner at Willows Inn may be the best meal I've had in 30+ years of restaurant going. From the first bite--a caviar stuffed tiny crepe to the pumpkin seed fudge at the end everything was gorgeous, delicious, surprising, creative. The beautiful sunset and the rustic dining room added to the celebration of the intensely local cuisine that this restaurant serves.... More

To get to this picturesque destination and the restaurant is a trek. You drive past the Lummi Indian Reservation to the Lummi Island Ferry Terminal then wait in the car line for the ferry. The crossing takes only about ten minutes. We stayed in the low-ceilinged Sunset Room which is located on the floor above the restaurant and has gorgeous... More

Other reviewers have said it all- this is an exceptional restaurant and an experience of a lifetime. The deftly crafted menu provides sensations and tastes that many of us have never experienced. It is a masterful combination of locally sourced ingredients, including of course those from the sea- eg a use of kelp "flowers" that have the texture of fine... More

I was truly surprised at what was prepared and how it was prepared, got me to try and enjoy things I would not otherwise have tried. the multiple tiny courses does play tricks on you though, I kept thinking, when is the main course going to arrive. But after about twenty amazingly tasty courses, with wine, cider and beer pairings... More

This is one of the most unique dining experiences I've ever had. I think it was 21 courses, though each is small, so you don't feel overwhelmed. Emphasis on local ingredients and extraordinary presentation. Well worth going out of your way for. And they do cater for veg diners.

I am reluctant to review this restaurant because it's so fantastic and the seating so limited, that this will encourage even more people to show up to splendor in Blaine's food and the staff's phenomenal service. However having now eaten there seven times, I cannot recommend any restaurant in the world more than Willows Inn. The menu changes seasonally but... More
