I have been to many bakeries in Western Washington. Cottage Bakery is one of the best. There is no bad choice here. Yet, how does one choose? Each of our family members got two things, then we laid out our choices for all to sample....Go back the next day for your favorite. My fave... German Chocolate brownie.More

Stopped off for a pastry after lunch at the Lost Roo. The selection is mind boggling but every last offering is awesome. Apple fritters, maple bars and "haystacks" were our selection. Tasty stuff. Arrive early for the best selection and expect a line.

We looked at the reviews and it sounded like a good place to get a pastry or doughnut. When we walked in, it was quite busy, but there were still lots of choice in the bakery case. It was hard to decide what we wanted...because it all looked yummy. We settled on a devil dog- it was YUM. Then we decided to grab a couple of sandwiches to go and ordered a couple of mojos (mine was ham and cheese in a crescent roll). They were good, too.More

Dylan’s is a fantastic bakery that has great treats that are quite varied and some very unique to this establishment. The Chewies are amazing! The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic and the Biscuits & Gravy are some of the best you’ll ever have. The coffee is...very good. The staff is super nice and friendly. There will often be a line but it moves quickly and the food is worth the wait.More

Stopped by to try a couple of donuts and a breakfast sandwich because of all the wonderful reviews. There was a huge line of patrons waiting to pick up donuts and such, so I ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches before getting in line. The...donuts were very good: apple fritter was not too sweet, not over-fried, and had a decent flavor, though curiously absent of any discernible apple chucks. The raspberry seapod was perfect...so fluffy and delicious. After picking up my donuts, I went over to the sandwich making side of the business. Watched as the cook made the sandwiches (two French breakfast sandwiches consisting of egg, bacon/ham, cheese on a croissant). She used her gloved hand to scratch her ear and went back to cooking. She never changed gloves or washed her hands.More

Great Bakery - cinnamon rolls were great, as was everything else we picked out. Alert: Certain specialties seem like they are put out at given times - and the locals know it. We were lucky and got there at the right time for "sea pods"...(may have the name a little confused). Definitely worth getting there at the right time to get one (or more).More

We entered this bakery and immediately felt comfort and warmth. All the pastries were fresh baked (the bakery opens at 4 am). We shared a bear claw that brought back tastes of local bakeries when were we children. How lovely to reenter those long held...dreams and aromas. Ordered lunch sandwiches to go online and they were ready as scheduled and prepared as custom ordered. The first time, the staff placed the veggie sandwich in a cardboard container and it was fresh and whole. The second day, I ordered the same sandwith and was disappointed. A different staff prepared the sandwich. This person placed the veggie sandwich in the bottom of the paper bag and placed the heavier meat sandwich on top of it. Sadly, the veggie sandwich was crushed (lierally by the weight upon it). The bread was beyond soggy and squashed beyond recognition. I could not peel it away from the veggies. Sadly, it was not edible. Very disappointing. Strongly recommend - should you select the veggie sandwich request the staff place it in a cardboard container to prevent the loss of your lunch.More

The chocolate eclair is $4.95 but worth every penny! Stuffed full with a Bavarian cream type of filling. The thing is huge! Next time we will get just one and split it in half.

We happened in to the bakery while staying over the Thanksgiving weekend. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and took donuts to go. The breakfast sandwiches were extremely fresh, well prepared and filling. The bread/muffins/croissants were really good. The donuts were really good. The bakery also has...a very nice selection of foodie gift items, bags, shirts and such for folks to buy. The deli also looks good and there is a small selection of cheese and meat in a case for sale. They also do small iced cakes. There was a line for service the entire time we were there. This is a busy and well run place. We would definitely return.More

I bought a bear claw and it was below average. They have a large selection but most of items look unappealing. They are popular because there is no other bakery in Ling Beach.
