We had breakfast at Laurie's last week, relying on TA's advice. But it was terrible! Service was slow and less than friendly but the food was why we went and it was even worse - a smoked salmon scramble was inedible. The hash browns were something I would expect of a teenage cook (shredded frozen potatoes barely fried). All at... More

We had visited Laurie's a long time ago and we were happy to go back. There was a little bit of a wait outside, but we were protected from the rain. The server was very nice, friendly, and helpful. There were many, many menu choices and the food was plentiful and very good. It was pretty crowded when we got... More

Beautifully cooked and presented breakfast, enormous portions, you won't have eat lunch for sure after one of their palettes. I ate at two there breakfast joints and they were both good, but this is the one O returned to a second time! Limited seating, probably a real bear in season, but worth the wait. Try the corned beef omelette -... More

This is the best restaurant in Long Beach, and it closes at 12:45 P.M. everyday. The best breakfast you can possible imagine - waffles and 10 kinds of pancakes; 20 kinds of omelettes; skillets with eggs and hasbrowns; eggs with oysters! Coffee is great; servicce is great. Just come knowing that you won't be eating until dinner

Driving by the restaurant, it really looks like any other place in town. But inside you will find the best breakfast spot in town. It has a nice, cozy country/old cafe vibe. Get there early because the line forms quickly. Huge portions of delicious food. You won't regret it. You will likely feel like a nap or a walk afterward.

The food was good and came out quick for a packed house. This place always has a line and is well worth the wait. Ordered ham steak with a biscuit and was shocked when it arrived. They make the best homemade biscuits and have several flavors of butter to go with.

We arrived on a Friday morning and the line was about 10 people deep. You wait outside in line for the next available table. When we were finally seated the service was good. We ordered the little one's breakfast first as she was quite "hangry" by the time we were seated. it arrived pretty quickly, which was awesome! I had... More

In my opinion the food was expensive. It was out of this world to justify the cost but it was good. I think for 2 people the cost was close to 30 bucks for breakfast and we ordered pretty basic items.

You won't leave here hungry, but your wallet will be lighter. They serve only breakfast, with a lot of choices and large portions. I met my brother here for a hearty breakfast, and we certainly had that. We got here early and missed the line that formed behind us. If you have an omlette and cup of coffee, it will... More

This is a small-ish restaurant, serving breakfast only. But the menus is huge, with two pages of omelette choices, along with all the usual breakfast items. The omelettes are gigantic, the bacon is thick and savory. And be sure to try the cranberry bread instead of toast. We had friendly attentive service.
