Two of us had the pork schnitzel and the sausage combination meals. The schnitzel got rave reviews as did the red cabbage and sauerkraut. The sausage was good. Service was spotty - dirty utensils had to be exchanged twice.

We stopped for cheescake while strolling around one evening --the homemade pistachio and lemon cheesecake were amazing! Had lunch there the next day==schnitzel portions were HUGE and very yummy. Homemade bread was also excellent.

While in Leavenworth, I wanted to dine at a restaurant that serves sauerbraten. I have been having an annual Oktoberfest, each year, for many years. My main dish is sauerbraten and I wanted to try it in a "true" German restaurant. The restaurant looks like it is from Bavaria. Staff was okay. Service was good. I ordered the sauerbraten meal.... We went to dinner here because of the location. The selection seemed good. The food itself was ok, my spatzel was not warm. The server brought everything one at at time, drinks (which took a long time considering it was only beer), the food, and then the silverware, with a wait time between each. On the plus side, the restaurant... More

Went for dinner not many there yet. Was seated quickly. We had the Reuben - very large sandwich with curly fries. It was tasty. Also had the schnitzel - not overly impressed seemed dry. The red cabbage and sauerkraut were good. Fried potatoes were tasteless. Really wanted the potatoes pancake but they don't make them. Fresh bread was good. Also... More

Food was good, we got the Ruben and the schnitzel. Both are great. Read other reviews and decided to try it ourselves. Was not disappointed. Kinda pricey, 3 Rubens and 1 schnitzel wa $71+tax.

We decided to stop in based on some recommendations and the fact that the menu provided a pretty good selection of German fare. After being seated we had a fairly long wait for a server to come by for our drink order, and the place was barely half full. Another long wait for the drinks and then we ordered our... More

We had seen a write-up that bragged about this restaurant's "world famous Reuben" sandwiches, a favorite of ours. What a disappointment. The meat was nearly shredded, so it was a very unpleasant texture and actually not very tasty. Other diners' choices looked much better, though.

Lots of options on the menu and they are good with large parties. Everything our table ordered was good - pizza, German food, burgers, and more.

We chose this as it was one of the few places in town with a kid-friendly and non-sausage loving eater. They have good spaghetti and chicken strips & curly fries for those not in the mood for traditional German fare. Each of the entrees comes with traditional kraut & spiced red cabbage and your choice of either German fried potatoes... More

The oldest family-owned restaurant in Leavenworth! Our recipes are original and the preparations are made right here. We make our own sauces, brines, and dough and our breads are fresh-baked everyday. When you dine with us, you enjoy the kind of food that only a professional can take the time to prepare. We serve authentic German cuisine, pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, and more. Enjoy!
