Their advertisement for ice cream drew us in but then we discovered they had more than just ice cream. They serve as a book resource for the community, second-hand exchange of board games, and a place to interact with one another. We wandered to the back rooms and learned more about their mission to youth and desire to provide employment... More

It is a favorite spot to stop for coffee and conversation. You are surrounded by new and used books in a casual, friendly atmosphere. Families and friends like to gather here between sightseeing and shopping.

A warm, cozy place to enjoy a good book, good company, and good food. Inexpensive and inviting, the staff is very friendly as are the patrons. Not a wide menu, soup and coffee basically. But boy, what soup!

while waiting for our coffee we spent a good 20 minutes browsing the used book selection and bought 2! The quality of the books were great and the shop is super cute!

Books, coffee and giving back the community all in one stop? Hells yes sign me up. My coffee was fantastic. Fantastic enough to go to twice. My mocha was great. Right balance of good coffee and good chocolate. My second Americano was also fantastic.

Love this place. It's a book store, reading room and eatery all rolled up into a cozy space. They serve delicious ice cream as well. I haven't had anything but their ice cream but it will be a place to return to on my next visit. Love books!

Good latte in a cozy little bookstore. Has regular and gluten free treats. Benefits the community, so a win win for all.

Great coffee and super nice people. We stopped in 3 times during our 4 days in Langley. They had great vegan soup on one of our visits!

I enjoyed my well-made latte and the yummy fresh cranberry scone. Just as pleasing was the fact that this place helps give training and support to local youth. A real community treasure run by dedicated volunteers. There's outdoor seating - check out the toy trucks in the yard.

The Commons is not only a great coffee shop with some of the best soups and coffees on Whidbey Island, but it has a great outdoor patio and is located in the heart of Langley only 30 seconds from the waterline. The main front room boasts an interesting collection of used books, much like a small library, and has four... More
