Totally El Salvadorian eatery, and a total must if you are in Washington state for visit or even if you reside there and you haven't had your fix of papusas! We got a few different things, please see the photos. All the items we got were outstanding! Service was great to, along with all the interior design truly reflected a... More

This place cooks up amazing pupusas! Very traditional and delicious. I however, have to warn you that the service is slower than molasses. They only have one cook or something because every single time I've been there, I've had to wait about 30-45 minutes (at least) for my food. Ridiculous!! The establishment is very basic, and nothing fancy about it.... More

From the outside you may think to yourself "should I risk it?" For me I am willing to give any place a chance and am sure glad I did. The wait staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. The atmosphere is a bit hole-in-the-wall but does not take anything away from the food. Started... More

Been here a couple times for both lunch and dinner. Hole in the wall restaurant, very delicious, don't let the outside and decor of this restaurant deceive you.

It's so good we are taking our daughter and fiance there for dinner this weekend. We have never had Salvadoran food before, it was delicious. I had Pollo a la Crema, Sauteed chicken in mild salvadorean tomato sauce and sour cream. Served with rice, beans and tortillas. Hubby had Bistek Encebollado, Thin steak marinated in salvadorean herbs and spices. Topped... More

Visiting my daughter in Puyallup. This was the first place she bragged about so we came. It's a small hole in the wall place, but food was EXCELLENT. Tasted just like my moms home cooking. The pupusas are delicious. This place is a real keeper.

We have been twice. Both times we tried a variety of delicious papusas and the mocajete. The atmosphere is friendly, but very unassuming. The service was very friendly and very willing to explain dishes and make recommendations. The staff spoke both English and Spanish very well. The Mocajete is a great dish for two and the shrimp included in it... More

On the freeway frontage road this is the kind of place you go for food rather than atmosphere, though the atmosphere is authentic enough, tatty booths and Mexican television on both screens. They offer a full Mexican menu, undoubtedly very good, though I have never sampled it. I come here for real Salvadoran food, particularly the heavenly pupusas and the... More

It's so good, I would like to rent a room in the back so I could eat here two meals a day (they're not open for breakfast). Downside? Slightly slow service since many of the items are hand/homemade.
