We eat here as often as we can afford it. We have liked everything we've tried. Sliced brisket is tender and tasty. Pulled pork sandwich also good. Salads are huge, with crispy onions and cheese. Cornbread really good, coleslaw is flavorful and a little spicy (horseradish?), baked beans are probably the best I've ever eaten. I remember the burnt ends... More

This place has really good food. A little pricey but good portions. Their bbq sauce is flavorful without a ton of heat, which is perfect for me. I highly recommend!

Very busy place - but the food is awesome. They now also have outside seating, which helps during lunch when the inside is full.

Always somewhat hesitant about BBQ, But this place was all that K.C. offered! Ribs were not sauced[upon request] the true flavor of the meat was apparent-sauce added a good touch. The 'burnt ends' were outstanding-again not sauced-but dipped again a different dimension, the ends were sweet and packed with flavor.

Expensive but quality BBQ. The chipotle coleslaw is one of my favorite items here. Not much of a smoke ring on the brisket but still moist and flavorful. The pulled pork was good and the link was decent but could use more kick to it. The Texas toast made me wish for butter. Overall I like the smoky across the... More

Pleasantly surprised that the meat was delicious. Being from southeast I am a BBQ snob but Petes rang the bell. Really good and plenty of it. Sauces are varied and very tasty. A little tight if outdoors will not allow dining outside but other than that I highly recommend.

We tried the ribs, brisket and spicy chop sandwich. All were excellent meat dishes. I recommend the spicy coleslaw and cornbread for side dishes. I think the food is worth the price, but don't expect to get out of there on the cheap if you have kids. There isn't much discount for small portions and kids meals range from $8-$12.

Two visits to the location in two days. Had the Sliced Brisket sandwich one day and the "Sandwich with no name" the other. Both very very good, meat was well cooked and sauces were exceptional! Prices were comparable with other restaurants. Food is fresh and they offer free ice cream cones.... Next time in Kent and I'll be back!

We arent from around here and this was the closest barbecue place to our hotel with a lot of good ratings/reviews so we figured why not. The chicken was tender and delicious. Not dry at all. The ribs were tender as well. Not much flavor without the sauce, but it seems understandable to meet the pallate of the masses. The... More
