We were excited to go here and have an early Valentine's Day dinner, Thursday, the day before the holiday and see if things had changed with the new owner. We sat in the lounge while we waited for our table. The atmosphere was relaxed, the...fire place going, and the service was great. Things changed when we got to our table for dinner. The lighting was so bright we felt like we were in a grocery store instead of a fine restaurant. And when the waitress told us they were OUT OF Prime rib at 6pm, we decided to leave. Poor planning for a holiday weekend. 😳More

Took my son to Cedars at Pier 1 for his 22nd birthday dinner in the middle of December, then we visited again for New Years Eve. On both visits the food was outstanding and service was great. The seafood platter is my favorite and I...am not a salmon lover at all, but I love theirs. I plan on having dinner here monthly for the seafood & rum barrels.More

Cedars Kennewick Worst Experience In 25+ Years 731247086 We dined here the first weekend they were open after closure for a management change transition. It was our worst visit in over 25 years of dining here. The food was okay but extremely expensive, and the...plating left a lot to be desired (just a piece of meat, a potato, and some dry vegetable shoots on a plain white plate - not very appealing). When we arrived there were four persons staffing the reception desk. I gave my name and reservation time; an older man spent about five minutes looking for our reservation, finally found it, and then another older man, tentatively the new owner based on some remarks he made later to us, escorted us to our table. I asked him if the "Early Dinner Special" was in effect. He replied that the restaurant has no such program. I told him I had reviewed the program and its menu on their web site that afternoon and he stated "Not on my web site!" I verified the presence of that program info on The Cedars web site after returning home. The new management clearly was not prepared for this venture. Staff at the reception desk seemed to be in chaos and none knew about reservations made under previous ownership. The new owner/manager arguing with me over the web site certainly presented less than professional behavior. Before embarking on such a venture the new owner(s)/manager should've verified the currency and accuracy of the web site, and the reception staff should have been ready and aware of the reservation list for that particular day.More

After a long day on the road from California, we were pleased to find good food and a very pleasant dining atmosphere at Cedars on Clover Island in Kennewick, Washington. We will return on future trips for the dinning experience and the super views of...the Columbia River from the spacious lounge. You can find this restaurant at 355 Clover Island Drive in Kennewick, Washington.More

Excellent salad bar. Food is fresh and plentiful. Steaks are great, as is the prime rib. WA wines and good bar. Boats and boater come and go because the site is on the Columbia. Try it, you'll not be disappointed.

All puns aside, I did actually order the halibut. It was a good piece of fish, cooked perfectly. Came with salad bar, bread, starch of your choice, and a surprisingly good little pickled veggie salad. The only downer was the caper sauce; basically capers floating...in a flavorless pond of butter/oil.More

I ate here recently and my only criticism was that the service was a little slow and a bit disjointed in how things arrived on my table. That said the food was tasty and the steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Entree, Main and drink...set my back just under $60 with a tip. As with most American restaurants - large servings and I was very full at the end and could have easily not had the starter as main comes with salad or clam chowder. I would go again - the restaurant is on the riverside and has nice views from the window tables. It is also a very busy place, but I was a bit late and thus the first sitting of eaters was thinning out!More

The staff here are very professional and attentive taking care of their patrons. The options on the menu are fairly priced, with much bigger portions than their competitor and is beautifully positioned at the base of the cable bridge on clover island in Kennewick, Washington...right on the Columbia river.More

This place is great! The menu is varied with choices for everyone, the servers are friendly and knowledge, and the view is great. Our large group was seated promptly and given the privacy we needed for our business dinner. The servers were attentive without being...disruptive. The portions are large and satisfying. We especially enjoyed the steaks, pork chop, appetizers, and clam chowder. The mud pie was a big hit; one of our group refuses to consider any other dessert choice and declares it worth every minute on the treadmill. The wine choices delighted our most discerning wine drinkers.More

We have surprised our daughter with a meal to go when she was unable to make it with us and she really enjoyed the chicken/broccoli fettuchini and we also got her a cheese cake to go too which she loved too!
