We waited 40 minutes to get our online order, while people were coming in, being seated, and getting served their meals. We were told repeatedly it would be 2 more minutes.....Food is good. Service poor.
Ordered Gobi 65 that was extremely oily and wasn’t even tasty; may have been from previous day.. we told the staff about it and kept saying that’s okay. We even requested it to be swapped with another dish but they reiterated it’s okay. We just...couldn’t figure out what “it’s okay” meant.
We also ordered mini idlis and they gave 6 tiny idlis that’s not even half of the regular idli.More
I RECOMMEND TO AVOID THIS ROBBERS. I generally do not write review. I went to this place with 3 other adult and 2 kids on my trip to Seattle. After sitting in restaurant, one lousy waiter took our order. Out appetizer came out quick and...then horror service started. We got my main entree in 20-25 mins but did not get any other food for almost 45-50 mins. We had to ask manager to check on our order as we saw other family sitting next to and other family sitting behind us left even though they came almost 10 mins after us. Server (who was not in mood to work or having some personal issue) did not come even once to ask if we need more water or anything else. Every time we had to call manager ( since he was sitting 10 feet's away to hosting desk) to get water. Service was really HORRIBLE but we did not say anything and kept our cool. Again, when we were done, we had to call manager to get check. Manager came to our table with tablet and told me the amount and I paid via credit card. After paying our bill, I felt that it was too much so I asked for paper receipt. This ROBBER restaurant has added 18% gratuity for this miserably poor service so I raise my concern to manager and HE RAISED HIS VOICE AND TOLD ME THAT HE GAVE US WATER EVERY TIME WE ASKED FOR - WHAT A LAME ANSER AND WHAT A SHAMELESS MANAGER SO I TOLD HIM THAT GRATUITY IS ON MY DISCRETION AND I DO NOT FEEL I SHOULD BE GIVING 18% GRATUITY SO KNUCKLE HEAD MANAGER TOLD ME HE IS NOT GOING TO REFUND ANYTHING AND I CAN FILE DISPUTE ON MY CREDIT CARD I WANT TO. I really recommend everyone to check their copy of bill before paying if you ended up going to this place.More
I took my family along with my mother to celebrate mother's day. We were seated after a 40 minute wait at 2:30 PM. My wife and my mother, both vegetarian, ordered plane dosas and Medu vada. My daughters and I order Butter Chicken Masala and...Chichen Biryani. My daughters and I received our food in 5 minutes. However, when even after 30 minutes both the mothers did not get their food, we inquired to the staff they called the manager. He said they forgot about the order! The manager apologized, he further said since the kitchen is closed they can not serve Medu vada so instead they served idli. It still took them several minutes to deliver the remaining food. With such a horrible service to the chief guests, mothers, they had audacity to charge full price for those dishes. Usually the apology comes with a discount or waving of charges in their case full price even for substitute dish of Idli for undelivered Medu wada. What is worse, probably their regular cooking staff was off so someone inexperienced made dosas. The Idli and dosas were poor quality. The chutney and sambhar were probably scrapped from the bottom of the pots. Then they served filter coffee. The coffee like water they used to clean the coffeepot. This was the worst filter coffee I ever had. (I had bad filter coffee before) Our meat was below average but my friend had warned me against ordering north Indian food in the South Indian restaurant. In any case food was below average and servers or manager do not seem to care about customers.More
not all my family enjoys Indian food, so I don't have a chance to come to this establishment on a regular basis. Since being there last. They have expanded their presence due to popularity and it is still a very busy place. Unfortunately, for me,...food quality and the experience are not quite as satisfying as previous. The Dosa is large, but is becoming somewhat thick and less crispy. Also, masala is quite skimpy. Since potatoes are not really that expensive. You think they would be a bit more generous. Also, the person who directed us to our table and took our order had a distinctly sour look on her face and seemed to be extremely unhappy/irritated – not necessarily the best way to start a meal. Perhaps we did not order enough for her taste.More
The Madras Dosa Corner is tucked away in a quiet, suburban strip mall, not too far from Target. Warm and spacious, it had a pleasant ambience with the gentle aroma of South Indian spices. We were a group of four, and ordered different varieties of...Dosa including Mysore Dosa, ghee podi Dosa and paper Dosa. They were all good, but the paper Dosa turned out to be the best -it was super crispy. The spice level was high, but mainly in the chutneys and the Sambhar. Service was fast, it was a cafeteria style restaurant with self pick up.More
This is the best dosa I had in the US! We were in the Seattle area and wanted to try authentic Indian and search revealed Madras dosa corner. Despite the not to high yelp rating, decided to give it a shot when I read the...menu.
For my fellow yelpers who are not familiar to dosa, this is a dish from southern India. It’s like a savory crepe made with fermented and finely ground rice and lentils. Served with variety of chutneys like coconut, tomato and sambar (also made from lentils)
Looks like dosa is their thing so we stuck to ordering that. We tried Masala ghee dosa, Mysore Masala, kids cone and paper ghee. Every dosa was amazing. The sambar was delicious! I have never been a fan of tomato chutney but this one, I ate till it was all gone :):)
The service is where this place needs work. Because it’s so busy, the wait times for food can be long. No one is going to check on you about how your food is or anything else you need except when it’s time to get you the check lol!
I can’t wait to return for some finger licking good dosa!!More
I visited this place for the first time with my friends. They took me to this place and we had awesome dosa and chicken 65 which was yummy and MDC special chicken 65 which was wonderful and tasty and delicious.
I visited along with friend for early dinner. I ordered position idly, kothi parrots and coffee. Food was amazing. Both of us enjoyed our food. Thank you for the owners to enable this in this part of the world. Note that you can interact with...server and waiters with English or Tamil which is very good. :-)More
