We are relatively new to Issaquah but I was craving a milkshake and my boyfriend had heard recommendations for XXX Rootbeer and checked ratings and decided he had to take me there. To start, I have to say that places that are cash-only are not my favorite to patronize only because it's rare that I have cash. Fortunately they have... More

This place has indoor and outdoor seating. Combination of soda shop and drive-up restaurant. Many choices of burgers to choose from, but can get a little expensive. I just had the regular cheese burger and it was quite tasty. Their sauce reminds me of the Frisch's restaurants in Michigan.

The Root beer Float, Hamburgers are the best. Note I would suggest to split te shakes and floats....

We came here during our first trip to the Seattle area and we're not disappointed. The burgers are huge! And delicious but they are a little on the greasy side so this is definitely not the place to come if you have a sensitive tummy or are on a diet. The food was tasty but what really impressed me was... More

We have seen the sign for this, "50's - 60's diner", near the freeway for years. We decided to check it out. The root beer, root beer floats, and chocolate malts were delicious and large. The French fries have skin on them and perfectly fried / salted. We shared their largest burger, XXX burger. It was huge! The flavor was... More

Not gourmet, but i you are looking for an old style juicy burger with a root beer float like when you were a kid, this is the place. Service was slow but friendly. The burgers were huge as was the float. both delicious and takes you back.

This is a fun place with LOTS of mementos from the 50s. They also have car shows here. But we were there for a great hamburger and yummy milkshake. Fun place for the guys with all the car memorabilia and also for kids and parents with all the 50s pictures.

Been there a few times, this was my wife's first visit. She was mad at me for not taking her sooner. The food is great, the ambiance is the best. Pictures on the walls showing many types of history. Go on a Sunday and see the old car show. They have pictures if you can't make it on a Sunday.

Amazing museum of 40s and 50s culture plus great food. A sign at the door posts a warning that nothing you eat or drink here is good for you. Truth in advertising. I had the foot long chili dog and it was over the top wonderful.

Took my 3 boys here after soccer oractice. They were entralled by the ambience. Vintage bottles, jukeboxes and photos cover every inch of the walls. The milkshakes are a must have. Rich, thick and hearty. Made with real choce late sauce. The food is as advertised. Juicy and messy. Only compaint was service was a little slow but they were... More
