The serving sizes are very good, the food is tasty and the value for money is good. It's a nice, quiet place for a dinner. The decor is quite decent and the staff is friendly. The service is good but if you visit them before closing time, they will be in a hurry to get you to eat and leave.

One of our favorite restaurants. Highly recommend eating in the Cloud 9 Lounge, adjacent to the restaurant, either at the bar (if you want jovial company) or near the fireplace (if you want more privacy). Recommend the Garlic Chicken Wings (best wings ever), Pot Stickers, Won Ton Soup, and Honey Walnut Prawns. Limited but good selection of beer (including draft),... More

Chinese/American food is good and well cooked. Not many customers present so restaurant seemed a bit sterile.

We wound up going here after we left the Shanghai Garden, as we found it to be a bit to "nouveau" for our taste. Mandarin Garden provided traditional Chinese selections that were both tasty and reasonably priced. We would return here when in Issaquah and in the mood for Chinese.

I've been eating Chinese in the greater Seattle area for 50+ years. This was plain, uninspired and cheap Chinese fare. Small serving size. Little meat or seafood. Bland flavoring. On the positive : our 4 course order was out on our table in 5 minutes. Oh, also they serve dry long grain rice so if you like sticky rice... NOT.... More

We found this to be the best Chinese around the area that we know of right now. The food was excellent and the service couldn't be better. Best of all they understood what meals on the menu could be served gluten free. I suddenly had a large choice of Chinese dishes because they use gluten free sauces if asked. Most... More

I have two favorite Chinese food places, this is one. Quality meat, wonderful veggies, good noodles and soup. Just delicious all around. It is on the list for regular Issaquah restaurants.

The lady at the reception and almost all the staff in this restaurant are soo rude that it amazes me someone in restaurant business facing customers all the time can do it to themselves! Unless you are in a mood to totally ruin your day or our particularly interested in experiencing extreme rudeness first hand, don't ever enter this place.... More

After I moved to Bellevue area in 2006, I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant locally. Mandarin Garden was my first stop but never returned. I can't say the food is good or not, because the reception lady (I think she is the owner) was so rude we left without entering. In a small town, warm welcoming is the... More

Went to the Mandarin with another couple, and we were both disappointed! They are passing off shrimp, as prawns in the sweet & Sour dish, and the sauce tasted like it came out of a can! The broccoli& Mushroom dish was not fresh tasting and too much gravy! The other couple sent back their barbarcued pork as it tasted like... More
