Honestly, the best almond fried chicken and chow main I have ever had. It's hard to find an authentic Chinese restaurant anymore. The lady that waited on me was lovely. I shop sometimes at Trader Joe's right by them. I wish I would have gone...to this place a long time ago.More

Fast, friendly service, an extensive menu and generous portions. Their combo meals are a great value. Some of the sauces were too similar for me but not a big deal.

We ordered six dishes and had six people eating and were all amazed how good the food was, it’s hard to find good Chinese food especially takeout. order was processed correctly, vegetables fresh and perfectly cooked in addition to the marvelous flavors of the dishes....Only reason didn’t give five stars is waiting to try again for consistency. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone seeking Chinese food In the Federal Way or surrounding areaMore

Jasmin tea was served immediately with the menu's. Generally standard Mandarin and Scheswain food. We chose the family dinner with soup (there were two of us and although there are 4 soups we both had to get the same soup - house rules) appetizer plate...(good variety, egg rolls were smaller than we were used too), white rice or pork fried rice (pork fried rice was average), vegetable chow main (better than expected), and choice of entre from the main menu. my wife chose pork egg fu yung, she thought this was very good. I choose Mu Gu Gai Pan - which was good. Service was pleasant and very fast, very little delay between the soup, the appetizer plate and the main dishes. This may be because we dined at an oddball time and when we sat down we were the only customers - this changed a few minutes later.More

Food consistently good! Staff friendly, remembers former guests & their preferences. Good selection of lunch items. Large servings, food always hot in temperature. Fast & attentive service. Good place to celebrate birthdays & anniversaries. Convenient location close to many shopping opportunities & adequate parking.

Met an old friend for dinner. She has had intestinal problems so her physician is asking her to eat vegetarian, preferably vegan. So i suggested I introduce her to Chinese vegan food. This restaurant was closest to her hotel. I ordered vegan dishes not on...the menu - Vegan Ma Bo Tofu, Dry Fried Stringbeans with Garlic and Baby Bok Toy in Brown sauce. I ordered these dishes because any Chinese restaurant anywhere can probably make these dishes for her. She is from a small town in the South. All the dishes were very well done with the stringbeans being excellent. Stringbeans were still bright green, very sweet with a definite snap. Remember Chinese food should appeal to all the senses - taste, feel, smell and sight. Ma Bo Tofu was not highly spiced but correctly made with a soft tofu so it could be eaten as a semi-gravy on the rice. Very satisfying dinner.More

YUM it was excellent We had Salt and Pepper Squid it was the bet I ever had. And it was a huge...serving. My daughter had a combo plate it was great Lunch A with Monglian BBQ and S/S pork . It was really good . The egg drop soup was a little bland but the rest of the meal was great and way too much to eat !! I would recommend to anyone who wanted a good meal and a good priceMore

I stopped in at the restaurant for a to-go order. this was based on a previous meal. Although it was some time ago, I was expecting the same quality. Unfortunately, it was not the same. I was assured that I would not get any MSG...and I would get several packets of mustard. I got the MSG but not the mustard. The portions were generous but with the price and lack of quality taste, it will be the last visit I'll make at the Grand Peking.More

I came in for some take out. I ordered the chicken chow mien and chicken fried rice. I was very disappointed and so was my stomach. The chicken was rubbery and dried, with the exception of the dark meat. The rice was hard..as if it...was microwaved hot. I left out the leftovers for 10 minutes and the food solidified, that can't be a good sign. I know Chinese food, growing up around San Francisco..this place was not it. I won't ever return.More

The restaurant is in a strip mall. The food is passable and it wasn't very busy. Seemed to do quite a bit of take out business. TV on the wall, sort of out of place being it wasn't a bar.

The Grand Peking restaurant in Federal might at one time earned the moniker "Grand" but it is decidedly average. I don't need to see part of the restaurant used for storage and if the water stains on the ceiling tiles are discoloured then they've been...there a long time. The decor is somewhat tacky - but - the food was actually pretty good. We only tried two dishes - the fried rice and the fried shrimp. The rice was very good; not oily and the portions of chicken were generous and well cooked. The shrimp was breaded and then deep fried which was what we were looking for. They were pretty good. Prices were not high, not low adn we enjoyed good service. The food arrived quickly and was hot. I have a personal dislike of plates being wet from the washer and then not allowed to dry properly and I had to use a napkin to dry mine. They appear to do a lot of take out business which is probably why they don't feel a need to spruce up the interior. In an area that's saturated with teriyaki places and numerous Chinese restaurants, we'll probably choose another when next we get a hankering for Asian food.More

Hot and spicy soup and egg flour sour soup excellent. Good family restaurant. Many choices of meals. Sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian beef very good. Waiters attentive, sometimes hard to communicate with, friendly but give the impression of being rushed. Very large meals. Have...been there often in groups of 2-10.More

Hubby and I had an opportunity to eat an early dinner at Grand Peking after a long day of doctors appointments, shopping and errands. We used to dine here regularly before retiring and moving to the beach and have really missed their food and pleasant...service. We ordered our usual (Family Dinner) which is a gluttony of delicious dishes with enough food to take home leftovers for another meal (or two). The appetizer platter (BBQ Pork, Cheese Wonton, Fried Wonton, Fried Prawns, Egg Roll & Shrimp Chips) is one of the best we've ever had and is followed by your choice of soup (Rice Sizzling Soup for us - clean, fresh and a fun table-side presentation) and then a selection of entrées (one for each diner) as well as fried or steamed rice and veggie chow mein. Everything was just as we (fondly) remembered it.More
