We had lunch here, our second visit to the restaurant. The service was not great--the server was on the phone when we got there, and she stayed on it while she seated us, brought us tea, then walked back to where she had been and continued to talk on the phone. We decided what to order, then tried to get her attention, but she was very involved on her conversation. Eventually she came back to the table, but seemed agitated from the call. We asked her for a recommendation and she said she didn't make them because we might not like what she recommended, which was a bit off-putting. We ordered the fried prawns, kung pao shrimp and Mongolian beef. All of the dishes were tasty and we enjoyed the cooking show that was on the TV screen. Once we paid the bill, the server didn't come back with fortune cookies, so after we waited a bit we just left.

We came to Hunan Palace for dinner at about 7:30 on a Friday night. The place was huge, but only a small section was being used. There were three other tables that were towards the end of their meal. We ordered the Szechwan combo for two. The hot & sour soup and appetizers were very good. Appetizers were spring rolls and BBQ pork. The Mongolian beef was my husband's favorite entree. I liked the General Tso's chicken best. It wasn't as heavily battered as some, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet, to it was very nice. The honey glazed prawns were also good, but I was wishing that there weren't two breaded & fried entrees. It was a large amount of food for two people so we took some home.

The last two visits were an over all MEH. We LOVE this place normally, but the service has stunk and the food we can get at Panda Express which is American not Asian. I hope it gets back to the "OLD NORMAL!"

This restaurant has really gone downhill. We ordered carry out and it seemed overpriced for what we got. Then when we got home condiments were missing and those that were there were skimpy. To end the meal no fortune cookie. I may need to have my Chinese friend arrange for some cooking classes because I won’t be going here again for Chinese food.

We have been eating here for over 25 years. The food is authenic Chineese, generous portions and always delicious. There's a vast menu and freindly staff.

There are a lot of Chinese restaurants to choose from. Hunan Palace is one of many but have stood the rest of time. I noticed that their portions are much larger than a few of the others in Snohomish County. Their lunch specials come with soup, an entree of your choice, fried or steamed rice as well as a spring roll. Prices are right and we left with more than full bellies!

We went here to celebrate a friend‘s Birthday. The food as good but the service was horrible.we ordered a lot of different platters of food, and we had people sitting at 3 different tables. The guy kept bringing food out and would put both plates of fried rice on the same table, both plated of broccoli beef on the same table, etc.... We had people that wanted beer or mixed drinks and we had to hunt down an employee to fill these orders. It was ridiculous.

My aunt picked this restaurant for lunch, she said they have great food. She wasn't kidding! I had the best almond fried chicken!! Some Chinese restaurants use processed frozen chicken patties, not this restaurant. My almond fried chicken was a thick juicy breast of chicken cooked to perfection. It was covered and smothered with chicken gravy and chopped almonds. With you lunch order, you get to pick your choice of soups. I had their wonton. It was amazing! My aunt ordered pot stickers. I had never seen such huge pot stickers. Each one was hand folded, and cooked to a golden brown. My mom ordered the sweet and sour shrimp. No shortage of shrimp in this dish. The wait staff was perfect for a lunch service. All in all this is a great restaurant with affordable prices and amazing delicious food.

Although unpretentious on entering, this is a surprisingly large restaurant, run like a family restaurant. The servers are polite and helpful, and the food is very good, with generous portions. Food comes out very quickly and hot. The pricing is quite reasonable, leaving a good experience.

We recently ate here after a long time away. The food we ordered was fresh and well prepared and presented. Servers were friendly. The atmosphere isn't cosy, it's a huge room which felt cold. There was a food/travel program on the big screen the whole evening which was distracting.

The service was good and quick. The choices on the menu are normal for this type of restaurant. In our opinion: The food was not very good. The mongolian beef was very tender, but not very flavorful. The egg rolls where very bland and the fried rice wasn't great.

First our server was the best & sweetest! Very helpful with questions I had. He and I both had the exact same thing - one of the combo plates and it was a lot of food. He seemed pretty happy for the most part although he did agree somewhat with some of my comments. Honestly just about everything had an odd, almost “old” taste. I was able to east most of my vegetables and really tried with everything else but just couldn’t do it. I did NOT tell our waitress because I chalked it up to road weariness, my taste buds were out of wack, the sky was blue, etc. All of these things could be true. But my husband was able to eat most of his food.

This is just the ticket for great American Chinese food. Reminisce of your childhood and the great dinners enjoyed.

Good food, reasonably priced, decent portions. Typical Chinese fare, but good. Convenient location next to a nice hotel.
