It was a very hot day the day we went into the Dakota. My daughter had been there before and suggested it as a very good place. On that day, we all had refreshments.

This cafe is worth looking for downtown. The décor is western. Very action oriented photo's grace the walls. The desserts and pastries were so delectable. We enjoyed our soups, salads, entrees, crustless quiche, and delicious bread. I hope you'll put DC, Dakota Café on your Map Quest. You'll find yourself like us.......looking forward to our next time at DC.

The Dakota Cafe in Ellensburg was a good find. Traveling from Spokane across the interior of Washington we didn’t see much in the way of restaurants that inspired us to stop and eat. Mind you, we didn’t drive into Moses Lake and there might have been something there. By the time we got to Ellensburg we were hungry. The Dakota... More

Always love having lunch here when I crave soup, salad or a quiche. Everything on their menu is good, and their bakery is amazing!! Worth stopping in and checking out

Great soup and sandwich place. Have only had lunch there. Feels too cafeteria-ish for me to have dinner there.

Probably the best food in town. The rosemary beef is AMAZING. You'll probably wait an hour to get it though.

My wife chose the restaurant. I was not really looking forward to it. Sounded much to much like a local burger place with Coke on the side. The decor is 'rodeo town' and the overall appearance is that too! When the menu arrived, I got very interested - good selection of dishes and wines of the region. We ordered adult... More

Delicious food and pastries! The best clam chowder in Ellensburg! The food is very fresh with bread/rolls baked fresh every morning and you can buy day old pastries/bread to take home! The garlic cheese bread sticks are delicious!

Went looking for a different restaurant only to be turned away because we had an infant (the Blue Rock Saloon must just be a bar, not a restaurant), so we came back to the car, which was parked right in front of this wonderful cafe. Total serendipity! Absolutely excellent service. I had the prime rib, my wife had the mac... More

After a hot day, it was good to stop and get bite. The Caesar salad was refreshing, but the 2 tables we sat at were dirty, with obvious food bits that hadn't been cleaned up when the tables were cleared of dishes. When we asked the server for another fork, she plopped it down on the surface of the unclean... More
